@XanderHenderson I was able to downvote the question, but I'm out of close votes until 2 hours and 10 minutes from now. I've got the tab open to the question (answer)... so count me in.

@amWhy That's more or less correct. The OP won't accept the answer, because they won't understand it. It's not likely that somebody with rep 17 knows what the diamond means. And I won't tell Jack to do moderating: I didn't elect him, because I knew that he won't be a good moderator. Many of his answers are brilliant, but they are meant mostly to show brilliance, not to be understood by the asker.

@ProfessorVector Nor did I elect him. But he ran for the job; he won the job, so we can and should all expect him to do the job he claimed he was committed to. I just don't have any sort of "reverence" for the guy, with or without the diamond. There's been essentially only one mod working their butt off right now; Jack can and should put aside his rep-whoring and tend to the needs of the site, especially at a time like this.

Anyway, I've given Jack plenty of time to "acclimate" to his roll as a mod; I've pestered him in the past, and I'll continue to call him out when I have the occasion to do so.
