@user21820 The post was deleted (revisions/timeline), so the star from that message can be removed when it's visible in the sidebar.
05:07
Ok, it's probably rather lame approach, but by changing zoom I've managed to get to the position that I saw the post on my starboard and unstarred it.

@MartinSleziak It's incredible. I never thought of that! Thanks for the trick! =)
@SimplyBeautifulArt I don't know what to do with this one; the asker is not asking for any solutions, but asking how to figure out the "+" or "−" signs that are missing from the figures due to bad printing. The asker may have thought that we might be able to mathematically deduce what they are supposed to be...
@amWhy @SimplyBeautifulArt: The asker has now added context. I think it's reasonable to undelete and reopen.
@SimplyBeautifulArt <− Thanks! We just need one more for both it and the other one. Could anyone else (@akhmeteni @MartinSleziak @MetaEd) help to downvote them?
07:13
I guess the zoom trick is not ideal - we only get limited number of messages. But it's better than nothing.
Yeap.
This post is not-an-answer but my flag got disputed and the post remained. I've tried asking here before but didn't manage to get help (downvote and delete). Trying for the second time! =)
@MartinSleziak Hey I just found the following solution (for greasemonkey users)!
4
A: Allow cancelling of stars from message

reneUntil this gets implemented you can use the following userscript to cancel stars as a room owner from the transcript: // ==UserScript== // @name Unstar/unpin for room owners // @namespace http://stackoverflow.com/users/578411/rene // @version 0.1 // @description unstar // @autho...

Well, that's (answer to) the question I linked above. However, I do not user GreaseMonkey. (Maybe I should learn how to use it.)
Oh oops I didn't notice that message of yours. =S
07:29
No problem, as a one-boxed message it's better visible. The question is whether some of the users who plan to frequent that room knows what to do wit a userscript.
I upvoted that feature request.
You simply have to install GreaseMonkey and then create a new user script and paste that script in. This specific script specifies that it would be loaded on every SE chat page after it has been loaded (or refreshed).
The only problem with userscripts is that most people don't understand it and hence it can potentially lead to unknowingly running malware. I have read it and affirm that it is clean, but nobody can verify my claim without also understanding it...
From what you wrote it seems that you have GM, so while you're be visiting the room, there probably should not be problem with removing old stars which are no longer needed.
Maybe one day, when I have more time, I'll try GM myself.
@MartinSleziak Yes I have just tested it out (on the transcript) and it seems to work.
Glad to here it.
*hear no here (My incapability of writing a correct English sentence is sometimes frustrating.)

@SimplyBeautifulArt The question is deleted now - revisions/timeline. So I removed the star.
@Did (i missed the notfying @) i did not totally understand your comment "Asking the OP in a comment to their answer was not an option because? (You did not even signalled them you were discussing the merits of their answer elsewhere, so much for courtesy." . Even after looking in the meta it is still unclear on how i can do that. Please see for example how I am struggling to reach you for info right at this very moment.
Have a nice day everyone, I just happened to be here by chance. Sorry for the inconvenience.
09:42
To add a bit of context this seems related to this:
Asking the OP in a comment to their answer was not an option because? (You did not even signalled them you were discussing the merits of their answer elsewhere, so much for courtesy.) — Did 40 mins ago
The site tells me i need 50 reputation to comment a post. Also the user Sasha (the one who came with the answer) did seem to come sporadically on the site when i looked at the frequency of his answers and questions. (1 every ~ month) and did not want to bother him for a 4 year old answer. And i am also unaware on the best practices of the site. The introducing tour doesn't tell you every step and etiquette. When writing any doc, I do put references but i do not send a notice to the author. I assumed it was the same here. Sorry if I was wrong. — RandowMalk 27 mins ago
@RandowMalk I will admit that the formulation in help might be a bit unclear: "Please note that you can always comment on your own posts, and any part of your questions." IIRC you can comment on answers to your post - this is probably what is meant by any part of your questions.
Oh, I see this is related to answer on somebody else's question.

@MartinSleziak Hi @MartinSleziak Actually yes. I am a new logged user (but have been gathering answers mainly on stackoverflow on the site for a year). The issue was about copyrighting answers for a question that directly is derivated from that answer.

@MartinSleziak xD You can view all the stars by clicking the "show all" on the starboard
@user21820 I don't feel like its a math question though
@SimplyBeautifulArt Yes, I know. But I can unstar/unpin them there. (See the meta.SE links above.)
@MartinSleziak can't*?
@SimplyBeautifulArt BTW the OP also posted on meta - although they did not explicitly linked to this question: Elementary questions
13:20
Ah, okay
BTW I'd guess that something like this has been asked in the past a few times. For example, this looks similar: Gram matrix invertible iff set of vectors linearly independent
13:40
@user21820 I voted to undelete. When is $MM^T$ invertible? - revisions/timeline.
We'll see what happens with the question next - perhaps the OP will clarify the question a bit. But at least while it is not deleted, it's possible to add links to other posts about the same problem in a comment.
This post is a one-liner, and should actually be a fairly straight-forward direct substitution.
13:56
@SimplyBeautifulArt @amWhy: It's now open for deletion.
@SimplyBeautifulArt I think you meant to respond about a different post? The M·M^T question is a math one. The one about missing signs isn't, yes, but it's not obvious?
In any case, it's already deleted so never mind.
@SimplyBeautifulArt I don't get it; why can't owners of their post delete?
14:34
@user21820 They can, but not if they're using the android app. No "delete" link there.
Actually, I do think I recall not having that ability on mobile
@SimplyBeautifulArt @DanielFischer Ahh okay I didn't know that. Thanks!
15:36
Hey @kingW3
@SimplyBeautifulArt Hey
Today feels slow
15:52
Here in Serbia it's raining heavy, I was sleeping whole day :P
16:18
@kingW3 Sleep is always good
16:32
@user21820 <− @MartinSleziak This was successfully deleted! Unpinning now. =)
16:58
Problem statement limit + integral question
@user21820 @amWhy @Did
17:44
Hey @Spideyyyy
18:13
@user21820 So it seems that I misunderstood the system. I have not only unpinned the post which were dealt with, but completely removed stars.
Was the intention that pin is removed, star is left?
@MartinSleziak Lol, I don't think you need to worry about that
And who should worry about it then? :-)
I'm not sure how it works, but if you wish, you could just "re-star" after unpin
I'll wait to see what was user21820's intention. (Whether if a post is still among starred, it means it is something still to be dealt with.)
I guess there is limited number of times the same user can add and remove stars on the same message.

@SimplyBeautifulArt It's now closed (I voted to close earlier).
@amWhy thnx
@amWhy This one is... uh? Idk, I'll let you decide. math.stackexchange.com/questions/2392599/…
@SimplyBeautifulArt Well, I landed on the side of voting to close... Probably shouldn't be deleted immediately though, if it closes.
21:19
Seems so, indeed. Closed, with two delete votes now.
22:00
Oh, never mind
seems you got it anyway lol
@SimplyBeautifulArt I'm often one step ahead of you! (But you are often one step ahead of me, too!)
