@amWhy Hahaha. And I could be 21820 Apple, 21820 Banana, 21820 Carrot, ... @XanderHenderson: I guess they were sockpuppets?
"I want to try e+π" should be deleted. Proof that the author is just seeking attention is that immediately after getting Gerry's answer he(?) went to post an 'answer' pretending that he knows what books are good, which totally demolishes any argument that he might have been sincere. @XanderHenderson @Peter @amWhy @ParamanandSingh
07:30
Also, here is a permanent archived snapshot of that user's reputation page showing fraudulent voting on that user's posts amounting to 410 rep!
07:50
@user21820: that "try of $e+\pi$" is gone.
08:27
@ParamanandSingh: Thanks!

@JoséCarlosSantos Can you explain why you gold-duped my question here math.stackexchange.com/posts/4030282/…?
I am utterly at a loss why three people voted to close as a duplicate of this question when I was the one who answered that question and specified that my question was a follow-up of the previous one.
11:18
@TheSimpliFire I am sorry. I misunderstood the question. It's reopened now.
@JoséCarlosSantos That's ok.
12:21
@user21820 I share your angriness about this answer. It is annoying on several levels, and the score shows that some users have no clue whatsoever which posts should be upvoted and which downvoted.
@TheSimpliFire I was one of the duplicate voters -- I missed completely that you had answered the original question. I did think it was very odd that more than one person would ask about what seems like an obscure limit and I think being distracted by wondering what the interest was in it might have contributed. Nonetheless, I am sorry, I feel like I should have seen that.
12:49
@postmortes No worries, might also have been due to the similarity of titles.

Is this an appropriate question for the site? Counting in base 13‭ - Num Toez‭ 2021-09-14 21:23:36Z
@Peter: By the way, from the rep changes it seems like the 410 fraudulent rep I mentioned earlier was via at least 4 different accounts.
@XanderHenderson It's a basic confusion between symbols and values, but none of the answers even bother to address that. Vepir's comment, which half-addresses it, isn't even made into an answer.
@user21820 That was my impression: numbers vs numerals.
Which seems like an appropriate question for the site, in the abstract, but I don't know that the given question is of much use.
@XanderHenderson Probably not. But I've yet to see a better version of that question. =P
Then perhaps it should stay for now.
Yea I don't have a problem with the question.
13:59
Oh, actually... Roomba will get that one.
Nevermind.
I don't have my little Roomba script installed on this computer. :\
needs to be closed until adequately specified: https://math.stackexchange.com/q/4258093/29335

Unfortunately it already got two speculative answers....
Yay! I am inside now!
It is not cold here!
@XanderHenderson You mean you don't have num toez anymore?
My toes were fine. My fingers were getting numb.
(I left my keys at home this morning.) :\
(The janitor clearly thinks that I am an idiot.)
It's not everyday we can use a username to make a joke. See the base-13 question you asked about just above.
14:20
@user21820 Closed. Not the purest of all the PSQs , but the question itself is nice. I'll probably create it ,cut it up and show it to somebody. On the subject of usernames, how about a Teresa (insert country capital here). With my previous account name, it'd be Aston Villa (insert name of former/current Aston Villa player here). I could create so many nice accounts.
@rschwieb One of the answers is gone, the other has one negative vote and a comment from Xander Henderuncle.
Make that -2.
Not an answer Answer to: - Jaffar Hussain‭ 2021-09-23 11:32:55Z
14:40
@rschwieb This happens all the time here :(
16:19
@rschwieb With two answers, each by a high rep user and downvoted.
@TeresaLisbon And two answerers who should have learned by now, given previous suspensions. After one month suspension, what comes next, @Xander?

Question as an answer Answer to: - Offiah Epiphanus‭ 2021-09-23 16:27:16Z
@TeresaLisbon That link takes us to the user. Not a question, nor answer.
@amWhy That seems to be some error from the script. The actual post is here.
@TeresaLisbon You did this earlier. Please link the question in question, not the user.
It came out from the script, so I'll probably not use the script, or I'll see what's going wrong.
17:05
@TeresaLisbon Try it yourself?
@amWhy Yes, the answer is wrong, isn't it? That's the one I want to delete, and I think this redirects there.
(The answer is a question).
@TeresaLisbon Yes, indeed it is not an answer to the question, now has two delete votes. One more needed.
Good, that's that clarified. I picked it up from the low-quality queue.
I really do not understand why folks sometimes ask questions in an answer field to another question.
Speaking of which, here's another one! of these questions-in-the-answer-field.
17:12
@TeresaLisbon big sigh; shakes head
These keep coming in the low-quality queue, and it gets more and more baffling each time.
One of the questions currently in the HNQ is interesting (note : it's got a lot of images so it might be difficult to search, it's here). It's a multiple choice question, but all the options are wrong, the solution given in the website(brilliant.org) is wrong, and then the author's attempt gives a different answer, that is also wrong. But here's something : to...
@TeresaLisbon first they hit first answers, where many (like me), designate it as low quality, or delete if there's a negative score.
... me , it doesn't actually look like the attempt belongs to the author. It looks more like it's been printed in a standard textbook. I've never seen a font like that, ever, as a typesetting font in any situation other than a textbook. This looks a bit dishonest, IMO.
@amWhy Makes sense. I got to review like 3 first posts today, and two of them were poor (the last was OK, but not great).
@TeresaLisbon I don't see that in the HNQ, try to refresh.
@Bulbasaur, welcome.
@amWhy Not there in the refreshed list, so you're right. But unfortunately (due to my hunches and the presence of images), it was there for some time.
All right, I think I'll exit. I'll try to come back in early tomorrow for the review spillovers. See you, @amWhy!
17:24
@TeresaLisbon ;-) I knew it was gone, because the title was edited (by me) to include mathjax!
@TeresaLisbon so I was kind of joking. See you!

@XanderHenderson Did you lock yourself in a cooler, or sumting?
18:55
@user2628206 Another similar question was asked by the other "hacker". Looks like they are the same person.
@ArcticChar Good spot
19:12
C Another set-theoretical questions.
@amWhy I left my keys at home and couldn't get into my office (or the building). I had to wait for someone to come unlock the doors for me. It was 53°F out.
19:35
@user2628206 Up for deletion now.
@ArcticChar Did you forget to close-vote?
Same with C2.
@user21820 I am out of vote already (and my VLQ flag was dismissed by an edit for C1. And C2 can't be flagged as VLQ)
@ArcticChar Ah no wonder.
19:55
Another PSQ. This is a new user with four PSQs, including the C2 given by @ArcticChar
20:44
^^^ @Xander ??
@XanderHenderson Ooh that is nippy! We got down to 45 F last night. I feel for you!
@rschwieb Closed, and open for deletion. Closed as needing context.
21:19
Needs to be closed until improved: math.stackexchange.com/q/4258605/29335
@amWhy just one more delete vote needed. I don't see any purpose for it to hang around.
@rschwieb I agree, I cast the first, let's hope @user21820 or @Peter, or any regular user adds the third.
@rschwieb Thanks to @user21820, it's Gone!
21:56
@amWhy uhh…. I don’t know if I’m the only one who thinks so but I think that’s an extremely awkward thing to say, and hope not to be used anymore…

@rschwieb No problem. Thanks for speaking up. I was linking to an earlier plea to users, and Xander, but I appreciate your thoughts. And in hind sight, I agree with you.
