@ArcticChar This time the claim is that a far stronger conjecture has been solved , namely that every even prime gap occurs infinite many often. (Side note : We do not even know whether every even prime gap occurs at least once!) At least, the title sounds as the author is aware of the invalidness of the proof, but that does not make the post and the upvotes better.
I don't know of any formal source, but a colleague recently asked me the same question after a student submitted this exact solution as homework. — David Conlon2 days ago
@Peter: I voted to close that question, but can you explain why you think it should be deleted? From what I understand, duplicate questions can be useful because they can improve search.
