Q: Given that a,b ∈ R a+b=2 b>0 then find the minimum value of $\frac{1}{2|a|} + \frac{|a|}{b}$

Anshaj Shukla MY SOLUTION Let the given sum be S. Then S=lim a→−∞ S=1 lim a→0 S=∞ In the range of (−∞,0), it has one minimum at a=−2,b=4, the minimum value being 0.75. Also, S=lim a→0 S=lim a→2 S = ∞ Since b>0, a<2 In the range [0,∞),s has one minimum at a=2/3, b= 4/3 the minimum value being 1.25 > 0.75....

@JoséCarlosSantos For this pending edit, I guess you simply approved it accidentally, right?

@Saad Damn! Yes, it was accidental.

@Arjun Annoying... but hopefully rectifiable with a little pressure. I've left a comment myself.

@rschwieb , thank you

@Arjun Please do not target users. CURED should be about posts, not people.

2:26 PM
@XanderHenderson , actually most of his earlier posts are also lacking Mathjax but anyways I'll keep that in mind ;-)

@Arjun Again, focus on the posts not the person.

2:51 PM
@Arjun I should also say that I am not criticizing you. This room gets a lot of flak on the main site, and I think it is important to not give ammunition to dishonest brokers who will take quotes out of context.
The quote "this guy hasn't been using mathjax, with repeated warnings", taken out of context, can look bad.

3:21 PM
@XanderHenderson , I'll keep that in mind, good point.

Or maybe a little more accurately, I think the right rule is not to talk about specific users in a context where it could be misconstrued that action should be taken on many of their posts.
Discussion of patterns of problematic user behavior are better tackled through moderator flags, and then maybe meta as a last resort.

Indeed, @rschwieb. It is helpful when users notice patterns of problematic posts, to alert mods via flags, rather than chatrooms. So I do think it is valid for a user to note patterns of misbehavior by specific users, but to use flags for moderator attention when such a pattern exists.

Good evening. Somebody to know the reason of two downvotes for my question?

Q: When is it possible to use complex analysis for solve the integrals?

Sebastiano"Is there a criterion, a clue that makes me think that certain integrals can also be solved through complex analysis and how to solve them?" When I can't solve an integral, I use the numerical methods. Thank you all very much.

@Sebastiano I have no idea why you received downvotes on two of your questions. But this room is not really the place to complain about downvotes on one's own posts. You can flag the posts, if you think the downvotes were made in bad faith. But this room is dedicated to requests for Closure, undeletion, reopening, deletion, or editing.

@Sebastiano if you're looking for how to edits to improve, try adding more explicit context. For example, what, exactly, does it mean to "use complex analysis"? include your definition of this

@amWhy I simply wanted your suggestion.
@AlexanderGruber Thank you very much. I'll arrange it right now.
