@XanderHenderson I agree that we could do with "Too narrow" as a close reason. We used to have "Too localized" as a network wide closing reason. I'm not aware of exactly what kind of problems it created in SO, but apparently they were judged significant, and it was removed.
I have mixed feelings about it. It would have been (and to an extent was) a wonderful tool for attacking PSQs. On the other hand, I want us to cherish the kind of questions that can only be understood by 3 users, and that might also fall under "too localized".
FWIW, I flagged this question of mine as "too localized" to hear a moderator's opinion. They decided to let it stay.

Thanks for taking a look at it @Bill. I did find better duplicate targets via Approach0. I'm now happier with my dupehammer decision.

In my opinion a question that is not significantly broad and nonspecific should be closed as not helpful to future users.

@user64742 What exactly is a question that is "not significantly broad and nonspecific"? Sounds entirely empty a statement, to me.
@amWhy for example if someone asks how to solve an equation, their question should instead be asking how to solve that type of equation. Asking for the means to solve a specific equation is not broad enough. It only serves to help the user.
A lot of answers at the bottom of this are useless. I also think that the question is a poor one, but if it is not going to be closed at least the useless answers should be deleted.
