Diophantine equations are an important study in mathematics. The following equation implies a group structure to the solution set and I am currently trying to prove this.
I am also trying to find the integer solutions to this equation for $s,t \in \Bbb Z$ and $x \in \Bbb{R}\ne 0, 1$.
$ (1-x)^s...

@DanielFischer ! Good to see you 'round these parts! ;-) The election, as you've likely already noticed, has was like a train ride from start to nomination phase... chugging along a flat plain, but became a ... ummm ... a roller-coaster ride Thursday/Friday.... Hopefully all proceeds smoothly from here!
@DanielFischer I am very very sad too... part of the "void" I felt was due to his leaving. I had seen no comment or indication until the moment at which he had just withdrawn, and had already asked for his account to be deleted. It is very hard to figure out what happened, but it is very sad.
@amWhy Not to take it away from you, but I was already sure that I am going to run before you'd done that. I was still thinking about what to write in the nomination message at that point. But it was fairly clear to me that one will be written very soon.
@AsafKaragila No, no, I know that.... Not intending to take anything away from you on your decision.
And anyway, @AsafKaragila, no need to be so defensive about it; I mean, everyone and anyone who knows you, knows you don't do anything you don't decide to do yourself. I'm just happy the way the afternoon went. Never claimed I was the reason you ran, nor that you ran because of anything I said. For me, it was serendipity. For goodness sake, you'd never give me the power to determine any course of action you take up. Lighten up a little.
Please, @Asaf, you're past any point where you need to prove yourself. Please, when you are a moderator, because you will be, try to lighten up, and don't take every comment to or about you as a challenge to your decisions or find a need to claim due credit for yourself. I don't think here, e.g., your comment to me was necessary. @Daniel knows you well enough to know you'd never do something unless you've already pretty much made your mind up about it.
----------------------------------Anyway, back to CRUDE.
There, there now, @AsafKaragila. I removed my comment to @DanielFischer mainly about what I found to be a rough day or so during this week, and any indication whatsoever that led you to think I was attributing your running to my encouragement. Now, take a deep breath.
@heather Perhaps not, but he did feel the need to correct me. I am looking to mods to know when something needs to be said, and to know when something doesn't need to be said, especially when it comes to a mod/wannabe mod feeling the need to defend himself against some nonexistent threat.
@heather It's not worth me saying anything about this anymore. My only message is this: I just find that the best mods are those who know to leave their ego at their sign-in to the site. I'll say no more.
