@Criggie Those poor developers šŸ˜¬
You're presuming that there was on-going development, not just "maintenance mode" or worse, grandfathered.
@Michaelcomelately Good spotting - fixed. It was also a link to the 2018 election too, which wouldn't be helpful.
There must have been development at some point
I was recently laid off because the project I was hired for failed and got canceled. One of the reasons for failure was that a big company with a lot of manpower copied the concept and made a competing product. Today I found out that someone I studied with works for said company... Oohps

can I rename myself to an existing nickname, nominate for moderator and then back to my original nick? :>
@Erlkoenig oh noes, got a new job lined up already?
07:08
Yesterday I realized that all 3 top managers in this subsidiary commute by bike. Best guarantee for showers and a secure bike parking
07:35
@Michael That was end of last year, already started the new job ;-)

I still run Speedplays on my ā€œpureā€ road bike. That poor bike only sees maybe 3 rides a year. But when you get 105-specā€™d Cervelo R2 for $900 from a 23-year old aspiring triathlete who lost interest, you donā€™t sell it.
15:49
@Michael Most definitely. Best support for cycling I had at work was when the MD, the head of development, and both of his reports all cycled. Even as we moved offices they built new showers every time we had to give up a space that we'd previously outfitted with them.

@PaulH Sounds like your bike has quite the backstory
Did the buying process go smoothly? I feel like I'd feel at least a little guilty of basically killing off the poor guy's hopes and dreams by buying that bike
19:39
@MaplePanda Oh yeah it was totally chill. He was a young medical equipment sales rep. Pre-pandemic he was probably pulling in well over $100k/yr (US). He thought he wanted to get int triathlons, but he was constantly on the road for work. Since this was 2019, he sold it for a reasonable price. The chain still had the factory lube on it and a lot of dust from sitting around his luxury apartment.
Point is, even though I donā€™t ride 100% asphalt rides much anymore, the bike is great and Iā€™d never be able to replace it down the line if I sold it now to save space.

yeah there's a point. It's worth holding onto things that are hard to replace.
