Two roads diverged in a wood, and Iā€”
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

@shoover That.... I'd class as an answer to that question.

@gschenk I think I'd have taken the Bus as that point šŸ˜… I also bring CO2 for such cases... Loctite is a great idea, I should do that
@gschenk No idea, but Lezyne valve cores work with the Lezyne mini pump (duh). The Lezyne track pumps have no issues however

There is none of that on GCN+.
It's funded by your subscription fee so no adverts or advertorial content
mmmm okay
I feel I'm not missing anything

You'd have to like racing for it to be fully worth the money.
But there is a large range of nice documentaries (like mark beaumont's around the world trip) on there too
I suspect next year it'll have MTB racing too.
Red Bull lost the license to discovery and i think gcn/eurosport are part of the discovery group

Today I learned there is a bike race around the Nürburgring race track in Germany.
downside, its 24 hours. And its a long way away
Yes, i've known about that for a number of years. I'd love a go.
They run a MTB race too
24hrs is a downside? too short event for you? ;-)
10:04
@Criggie There's also a very popular 24h bicycle race here. Organised initially by a university as a race, it quickly become a popular event with 2 categories: the real "race" and the "folklo" where the most "decorated bike" wins.
Hehehe right now its a push to ride for one hour
Might be easier once I get the bent repaired

and its been deleted - I was just tying his recent questions together too.
I was going to answer with
> Sounds like more of an ethics question.
> Since wear is not crash damage, I would not. If you do get the bike shop to do the work, ask them to do a separate invoice/job sheet for the accident damage, and forward that for payment without confusing things.
> Consider listing items that did take damage *from the event* like your helmet, possibly clothes if there's clear damage.
> From memory, you're in the UK and from your recent question, https://bicycles.stackexchange.com/questions/84271/shaming-driver-on-youtube the advice was to check your solicitor / lawyer

He has a lot of different bikes with different problems.
The bikes have an owner with a lot of different problems šŸ˜‰
I mean, we mostly all do, but the breadth of question is noticable.
...TBF getting run over will do that to you.
I'm very much more assertive in intersections, specially roundabouts now.
Yay for the airhorn :)
oh wow it turned friday 45 minutes ago.

@Criggie: How would one go about test riding and buying a nice, fast recumbent?
preferably a high rider for visibility and carbon for light weight
the only one I could find is this m5-ligfietsen.nl/site/EN/Models/Carbon_High_Racer and no idea how to test ride or buy this one in Austria
Ooooh, that yellow one with the 80mm deep wheels looks tasty
although i'd have thought carbon isnt a great starting point whilst you are learning not to topple over
@Michael I guess you use their rental option and take a weekend holiday to a country that has a dealer

@Criggie What was the question about?

Nooooooooo

Try to get the wheel rebuilt with a new rim or just get an entire new wheel?

2 hours later…
20:36
What's the hub, which spokes, can you source same rim?
Hand built wheels aren't that terribly expensive compared to system wheels. If it's a good hub rebuild. If you get same rim and spokes are good, wheel builder might even use those.
Might be cheaper to get new ones though. Wheel builders buy bulk. Salvaging spokes likely more expensive.
tune Prince CL hub, some kind of bladed spokes, don't know which ones they use. Can't buy the rim directly, but the manufacturer might make an offer
I wonder whether it's a case of warranty - a Gravel rim should be able to handle small bunnyhops over bumps?? Especially if marketed as super robust! Less than a year old, just 2.5Mm
21:25
@Erlkoenig Oh man, that stinks šŸ˜. Makes me sick just to see that.
With that hub i'd definitely be trying to get it rebuilt into a new rim
Define 'small' bunny hop. And how was the landing. Gravel rims should be fairly robust, but then they are also supposed to have 40mm of plush tubeless tyre to protect them.
Narrower tyre with more pressure and the impact has nowhere to go except into the rim
I'd at least try to get it warrantied first - there's zero marks on your sidewall = manufacturer will see it wasnt a rogue rock strike

What did you manage to do???

2 hours later…
23:27
@AndyP exactly.
That hub costs was much as my entire hand built wheel set (DT hubs, sapim spokes, DT rims). Definitely go for a rebuild if it's not fixed on warranty.
