@Criggie I noticed other differences, and I think they can continue the cyan down the sides.
Tags change look a bit, for instance.
Original design has circles that extend out of the header and into the side area a bit; I'm pretty sure that's going away permanently.

I rode probably around 2000 km in 2 years, so it doesn't sound too bad for me.
I've asked about them because I'm tempted to buy them, but they're expensive and the service life is only 2-3 out of 6.

I can't believe how Schwalbe ruined the [Marathon Almotion](https://www.schwalbe.com/en/tour-reader/marathon-almotion.html). It used to have a high rolling rating of 5/6 or more when the Microskin execution was used, not it has only 4.5 after switching to V-Guard.
At least they have offer wider 27.5" tires now; 2.15" instead of 2.00".

Oh wait, you are in Santa Rosa. Smart man. I used a similar setup in the summers in Fairbanks.
Hows the airflow on that one? I used a 3M deal where I couldn't quite get enough air to ride at a full sprint, but could cruise comfortably.

@DeletedUser I did my morning commute (50 minutes) a couple times in that. Airflow is fine for moderate pace. Basically it requires a bit of extra effort to breath compared to without it and that's just too much effort at higher speeds.
Also, there was no good way to get my glasses to sit, so airflow to the eyeballs was an issue.

I think I had a set of oakley blade type junks that sat just fine on the top of the nose piece. The head straps further held them in place fine
I am assuming that mask was ~$30? I looked into full face at one point and the price difference was excessive.

The glasses stayed on fine (oakley prescription), but they either had to sit higher up or further forward than they really should.

Full face mask versions were about $100... Goggles made to fit with the masks are only like $20 or so, I think.
I can ride without prescription, but I do prefer those...
Oh, and if I'd gone with particulate only filters, those were included (and super-cheap). Those cartridges are P100 (tiny particles) and organic vapors, because I was being super-conservative about it.
Anyways... we got a bunch of rain this week and air quality is good again. Yay! :)

My family is all in Sac, I was there a couple weekends ago for a funeral. It was terrible.

I was "used" to it from Fairbanks. But we kept doors and windows closed and used air purifierrs

It's in the "fire band" of ALaska. There are millions of acres there that burn every year. Fairbanks always has at least a few smokey days. But every couple of years it lasts a LONG time and gets apocalyptic. Visibility like 200 feet and all that.
In the winter it can get similar with ice fog, the inversion layer and lots of exhaust that doesn't go anywhere
Fairbanks has great air 90% of the time and truely horrible air like 10% of the time
It's the wise thing to do when air quality gets that poor

My old city has that problem in winter, where the inversion holds smoke from woodfires, making smog.
You could see it whisping along under the streetlights on a bad night when I was out walking the dog.
So about 20 years ago the councils got serious about improving air quality, pulled out a lot of open fires and sealed up non-compliant brick chimneys after fitting subsidised heatpumps.
Silly thing though - they sealed the chimneys at the very top wiht a capping insert and a blob of concrete. When the quakes came through those are the chimneys that fell through the roof cos of the inverted pendulum.

Yeah....it's hard to do that in Fairbanks. At like -50F....people heat with whatever they can and you literally would have to pry it from their cold dead hands.
They did have a program that changed out a lot of older inefficient woodstoves and people got newer catalytic ones, but them people still burned green wood, so.....still terrible.

yeah - insulation's the other side of the coin. Here older houses had nothing at all.
