@TimPost Where was most of your contact with Affable Geek? It's hard to tell where you spend most of your time on SE because you're an SE employee.

@fredsbend Mostly in the mod rooms. I wish I could participate on more sites (if only there were more days in the week), so most of my interaction with folks I've gotten to know a bit has been through chat.

I didn't know Affable Geek well, but it seems I knew him well enough to be deeply touched by this shocking turn of events. I enjoyed talking with him and getting to know him to the extent I did. I imagine that the Affable-sized hole in this community must be huge. I wrote a little blog post, which (being my blog) is more about my feelings than memories of him, but those are the words that are coming now. Maybe others will come later.

@MonicaCellio Yeah, it's a pretty big hole. I guess I'll have to step up my participation.
