Hi @Donald.McLean
@Donald.McLean, can you merge this account (secondary), with this one (main) ?
It is confirmed it's the same person

Hi @Brahadeesh, I noticeed you are editing posts to add wikipedia links every time you can, but I can accept these edits, I wonder if the wikipedia link is necessary in some cases, maybe a link to the song would be more useful, don't you think?

@Bebs Sure! I try to add/fix YouTube links to the songs, too, whenever I can - did I miss out on doing so in any recent edits?

Looking back, I see that I added a link to the wiki page of the song here: musicfans.stackexchange.com/review/suggested-edits/9803. I did that because the question was about the lyrics and meaning, and I thought the wiki page gave a lot of relevant background. Of course, additionally adding a link to the song would have been useful too

Perhaps I could have added a link to the "Heroes" song, here? musicfans.stackexchange.com/review/suggested-edits/9792. Hmm...

user185131
Here, I didn't want to link to any particular song of the artist, since I wasn't sure what exactly the OP had in mind, so I just linked to the wiki page - musicfans.stackexchange.com/review/suggested-edits/9794

If I missed out on an opportunity to add a YouTube song, then do point it out to me. I agree that having link to the song is generally more useful than a wiki link to the song. At the same time, I think I largely add wiki links to artists and bands - this is because they are all completely new to someone like me who is encountering these genres and artistes for the first time, so the wiki pages are actually really useful. :)

Sorry for the wall of text above! I've got to go now, will check in again in a few hours.

I've added tag excerpts and wikis for and based on the input here as well as the kind of questions currently tagged. Feedback is appreciated (too broad, any off-topic descriptions, etc.) :)

@Donald.McLean We currently have 18 answers with notices on them for being low-quality/lacking details. The latest such one is from 6 months ago, and the earliest from 2 years ago.

I guess this is enough time for any improvements to have been made (and they have been made by community members in many cases). Maybe the mods can review whether the notices are still necessary and remove either the notice or the answer depending on the status in each case?

I thought it would be easier to post in chat rather than making a separate meta post about it, and you're the only mod pingable here at the moment.
