I wouldn't have thought isopropyl would have done much to most chain lubes.

Diesel in an old plastic bottle and a good shake, works wonders though

@alex The isopropyl is to remove any residue left by the mineral spirits (which are already fairly refined). The idea is to get a chain as clean as possible before the first hot wax treatment, after that it is supposed to be less fastidious. I am doing a few chains at once, economy of scales and all.
