I've used a mini pump as a shock pump in a pinch.

Wasn't ideal.

Shock pumps have a very small bore to make the high pressures doable. The mini pump basically turned into a pogo stick, took all my weight to get it to stroke, and then the head shot off the valve.

Also not ideal is the opposite, unless you have a lot of spare time.

I've bought the Scott Silence Speed 10 bicycle. The price after the discount convinced me to buy it, though it feels like an old man's bike.

It makes me feel like a pensioner :-)
