I am using Restlet 2.1.2 for POST and GET operations. I am not having any trouble with GET. With POST, I am getting apparently-random UnknownHostException errors (the host in question is indeed known to DNS). So, while I am looking for a solution to that problem, I am also considering using some other REST library.

Can you suggest a Java REST library other than Restlet? Of course a web search finds some libraries, but I am interested to hear any comments comparing them -- reliability, flexibility, features, or whatever. Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on this topic.

@RobertDodier Thanks for asking in chat and not on the site! We get so many of these questions on the site we need to close..

I have stayed a long ways away from the Java community so all I can say is uh, I hear Clojure and Ceylon have some good rest libraries, so uhh.. don't use Java? :D

It's 5 here, and similarly in other places so you're likely to get responses possibly briefly this evening but more tomorrow. I'll pin the Q for people to respond if they have ideas.

As it happens that question was booted off programmers.stackexchange. It seems a natural question for programmers but I am not running that circus. Oh well. Thanks for your help all the same.
