When Googled, many responses for this topic come up. However, I don't feel like any of them do a good job of illustrating the difference between these two features. So I'd like to try one more time, specifically...
What is something that can be done with self-types and not with inheritance, and ...
Correct me if I'm wrong but from what I've read here that's basically multiple inheritance which supports the dreaded inheritance diamond in a round about way?

I found the question they were referencing. The Prog version of the question still needs to be closed as it's too broad. I was able to clean it up a little.
@GlenH7 sigh i guuuuuuuuessss. Would it make sense to just have a mod-type run through that query at their leisure instead of us flagging every comment then?
@GlenH7 No, I've only ever ran the server locally on my machine! Done it behind some firewalls and even done a domain redirect to the server, but never had it running on the cloud
The deleted answers had been posted while the question was on SO. Closing it reversed the migration, and send those answers back to SO. Only the answers that were posted after the migration remain.

@Ampt Thanks for letting me know. I'm leaning towards using CraftBukkit at the moment. I found a tutorial that recommended a number of plugins to make administration easier. This is primarily for the kids + their friends, so I'm going to rely on the whitelisting aspects to control who is allowed on. I don't want to deal with the grief they'll give me if any griefers get on. Paranoid-me wants to lock down the firewall too for that port and only allow particular addresses & subnets.
