@Carpetsmoker touché. On the other hand I hope you realize that the gutting of the clipboard code was temporary and even at the worst of it there was a simple way you could access the functionality through a little Vimscript to bridge the non-functional API to one that worked so usage wasn't really interrupted, only the API got rewired up to a different subsystem and that was/is quite a process.
