@ChristianRau ... Nah, my Mama taught me to always be polite ... Now go bugger off! ;-)
@Paulster2 Yeah, of course, I agree that you we shouldn't vote for yourselves ourselves.
@ChristianRau ... :D It should be interesting. I'll do my best (should go without saying), but against you, Ankit, and iandotkelly ... I'm thinking my chances are slim. Time will tell and this week should be a lot of fun no matter the outcome. I look forward to reading the answers to the posted questions during Primary week.

1 hour later…
12:45
Looks like a reality show to me lol
Elimination start after 7 hour and going to take days to consider :D
Anyways i though its 6, so 10 are going to proceed to next stage......and there are only 11, so we need to wait for 4 days to see one guy go........
@AnkitSharma But we'll get a nice up/downvote assessment of each candidate as a byproduct.
13:37
@ChristianRau hmmm......like exit poll assessment
14:13
5 hours 'till closing time....
5 hours.......quite late.......i might get slept at that time
@MattD Yeah, you still have time to draw back and spare yourself the shame.
@MattD And you can save my poison too.....don't you know poison are too costly this days.
I'm an American, you should know that our motto is, "Never give up, never surrender!"
^so get killed
14:23
@AnkitSharma From the Poison Delivery Service you get a free basket of poisons anyway, doesn't sound too costly.
Better to die than to live a coward.
@ChristianRau didn't know that
Do they deliver in india
Nah, I'm glad we got over 10 candidates without the need for amassing 300 rep in 3 days on one of my sock puppet accounts. We have plenty of downvotes to punish all the candidates for daring to invest time in this site.
@AnkitSharma Don't know.

1 hour later…
15:56
@AnkitSharma Doh, I am at the cinema at that time.

1 hour later…
17:21
@atticae Uh, could it be you failed to mention what you will be watching in the cinema? Since we're in a Movies & TV chat this surely was just a little mistake and you were right about to tell us.
@ChristianRau If I knew, I'd tell you. ;) It's the weekly sneak preview, every monday.
Hm I just realized the term might be a german invention. Anyway, they show a movie which isn't out yet, but you don't know beforehand what will be screened. Pretty good to see some movies you wouldn't normally buy a ticket for.
Just wondering, do the primaries make the whole election longer? Or do they cut the final vote shorter instead?
17:41
@atticae Ah great. I once was to one (or two?) but never made it a habit, although I really like that idea, maybe I should start visiting those again.
@ChristianRau We do it in a group of about 10 people, it's a lot of fun, even when the movie turns out bad. :D
@atticae sounds interesting
Also it's way cheaper than a normal movie ticket.
@atticae Ah, I usually buy a 5-tickets-in-one card anyway. Amounts to 6,50 € per actual ticket no matter where you're seated (and +3 € for 3D). Quite a nice deal.
@ChristianRau Sneak Preview is 4,50€ here. And they throw food at you before the movie begins. You can't argue with that, haha.
Also there is a quiz, and if you get it right, you get free popcorn and a drink.
Pretty cool event overall.
17:54
Oh right, just noticed that Sneak Preview here is also just 5,00/6,00.
@ChristianRau I guess they just file it under "promotional expenses" to make it so cheap. The enthusiasts promote good films to their friends -> more visitors overall.
@ChristianRau Where are you from?
@atticae Chemnitz, and you?
@ChristianRau Hamburg
Lots of cinemas here. I find out about a new one I never heard about every year.
@atticae Which might be the reason for the amazing 4,50€, I guess. Apart from a smaller more independent cinema, my CineStar here is pretty much without competition.
Yeah we have UCI and Cinemaxx here, and a ton of smaller ones. My favorite is one that shows movies in English with chairs that you can turn into a lying position. Super comfortable. :)
Anyway, time to go if I don't want to miss it. See you guys, and remember: Don't drink and vote!
18:04
Yeah, be sure to tell us what it was and how it was.
18:30
Movies are so expensive here in the States (from my approximation, anyway), most all of them I just wait until they come out on BRD and purchase them. If you saw my wall of videos, you'd probably shoot me, lol. Way more than you can shake a stick at.
We just saw Jupiter Ascending in 3D ... it cost $15/person plus fees ... so about $16.50/person.
@atticae ... You could also say: Friends don't let friends vote drunk.
I don't know who would vote for a drunk on this site ... <cough> ... I mean, vote drunk on this site :D
18:54
Was Jupiter Ascending good? The trailer makes me wanna watch it.
Sadly internet says not so good
I liked the movie. Probably give it about 3.5/5 stars. The only thing I really didn't like about it was the sound track ... it really doesn't gel with the movie. I think it would go over better in 3D than it would watching it regular. It's not the "in your face" kind of 3D, but there are a lot of scenes which work better with it.
Like the Warkowski's do on a regular basis, this film stretches the imagination somewhat. Much better than some of their other offerings.
I like movies. When I see a movie, I always look at the movie from what angle the movie was created. This was SciFi space opera stuff ... how does it fare against others of the same? I think it holds it own and then some.
Is it going to win any Oscars? Not unless it's for Visual Effects ... it's got some pretty cool stuff going on: typical Warchowski, that's for sure.
(Uh-Oh ... there goes Paul with another Wall-of-Words!)

2 hours later…
21:25
Well ... get out and vote :D
21:42
Here's to everyone (including me) getting a fair shot! ^_^

@ChristianRau It was the woman in black - angel of darkness. Not the best movie ever, but I was quite happy to finally see a horror movie again.
@TrishLing ... Absolutely! I haven't read your post of the questions yet, as I didn't want it to influence what I have to say. Good luck to you :D
22:00
@atticae Ugh, now I don't have any need for that. Meanwhile went to Blackhat instead, and that was definitely worth it, another thing where I'd disagree with the internet's heavy negativity (agreeing with @Paulster2 that Jupiter Ascending was definitely watchable, too).
22:17
@ChristianRau Hah, I didn't like that one too much. Too long for too little gain.
What I do like is that we managed to turn the election room into a movie discussion. :D
Good luck all to everyone as well. Good to see so many people are voting, although the high numbers make me wonder if anyone will even read the Q&A.
22:34
@atticae ... Movies are as movies does ... or something like that, lol! Remember, this part of the voting is only to put 10 people forward for the actual voting, where any single person can only vote for three people. I like the fact we cannot vote for ourselves. Does that mean I should only vote for two?? The non-vote counting as a vote for myself? I guess time will tell, lol!
