I installed Ubuntu using the Windows installer that is provided on the Ubuntu website i.e. I have Ubuntu and Windows XP SP3 running on the same machine. I wish to retrieve all the files that are on the Ubuntu ("partition"??) when I am using Windows XP O.S.

I have two questions on ext4/btrfs:
Is there currently a way to mount an ext4/btrfs partition in Windows (XP/Vista/7) to get basic read support?
If not, are there any plans to support this someday?
I downloaded the Cinnamon Desktop environment in my Ubuntu 11.10 and used it for around 2 days. Then I tried to switch back to the Unity Desktop by selecting "Ubuntu" from the log-in screen. But after that, the desktop that opened did not have the Unity Dock or the "Power button", the "User name"...
My Vodacom (South Africa) Hauwei 3g modem 12d1:14c1 which worked flawlessly in 11.10 is not being read in 12.04.
I've tried modeswitch and several other fixes older forums, but nothing is working.

There is no easy way in the windows client to remove a directory. I ran into a problem where i later wanted to sync an entire directory, instead of just a sub directory inside that directory. I needed to first removed the sub directory share, else Ubuntu One complained about overlapping shares. ...
@jrg Hm, That's an odd design decision. Most privileges give power, this one just hinders (relatively) those who don't have it. I thought the same about having to unlock the review panel.
