Q: Wanting to avoid vulgarity; alternatives for "a d--k move"

user14197I have heard the slang phrase dick move in contexts like this: "Please don't do that prank to him. That'd be a dick move from you." "Look at those drawings of Bob! Do you know who made them? That's a dick move!" I understand what the phrase means, but what other colloquial expressions ...

I've reopened this question, because I think it's a legitimate learner's question. In the future, though, when inquiring about vulgar phrases, you can avoid downvotes and closevotes by (a) not including the vulgarity in your question title, (b) citing sources where you may have seen or heard the phrase, and (c) explaining why you are looking for a milder synonym. (In this case, I think you did (c), but not (a) and (b), hence my edit.)
@J.R. I don't think you should have reopened it. And you did that reopening unilaterally. You also deleted my comment. If you really think this trollish question is meaningful, then a more appropriate site would've been EL&U, as a Single-Word-Request. The OP obviously has no difficulty in writing fluent English--That is why this is a trollish question.
@F.E. - I deleted your comment, and the reply from the O.P. The O.P. replied by saying, "Verify my account; I'm from Brazil," and indeed this O.P. is logging in from Brazil. And I didn't just re-opened the question unilaterally, I re-opened it after I spent some time editing the question and its title. If an English learner wants to know a more tasteful way to say something that is otherwise vulgar, where else should that be asked? This place was set up for that kind of thing; I have no idea why you think this ought to be on ELU.
@F.E. (cont.) - Clearly this is not a native English speaker. And now the O.P. is asking that the account be deleted. I'm hoping cooler heads will prevail and the O.P. will decide to stay.
@J.R. Nonsense. Clearly that user is fluent in English. He is a troll by asking that question, and you are allowing him to playing his game. EL&U loves those SWR questions, which you already know. That environment is more appropriate for his question. There's no way that he doesn't know what a "dick" is. So you want that kind of user. ELL should have better moderators.
@J.R. And I didn't just re-opened the question unilaterally, <== You did reopen the question unilaterally--it was just you yourself that reopened it.
@F.E. - Emphasis on the word "just", please. My point was, I didn't only reopen the question; I reopened it after an edit. On SE, questions are put on hold so they can be edited and reopened. And this person is not asking for a synonym for "dick"; this is not a single-word-request. We'll have to agree to disagree here.

@J.R. Now you want to quibble over the difference between single-word requests and two-word requests? Really? And "just" doesn't affect the fact that you did unilaterally reopen this question--the community didn't vote on it.
@F.E. - The community can garner five more votes to reclose the question. And I'm not quibbling, and I'm certainly not "wanting" to quibble. I'd much prefer to put this matter to rest. However, this is what you wrote: There's no way that he doesn't know what a "dick" is. And my point is, he isn't asking "What's a dick?" or, "What's a synonym for dick?" This is a much tougher question than that. You've made a pretty sweeping judgement based on just one question.
@F.E. - It's worth noting that the edited version of this question has garnered 5 upvotes to go against the 4 that it had before the edit. Moreover, it's gotten another answer, and that answer has been upvoted 3 times. The question may have been reopened "unilaterally" as you claim, but there seems to be some community support for the revised version of the question.
@J.R. "What's a synonym for dick?" This is a much tougher question than that. <== No, it isn't. Another member has provided a link to the answer: urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=dick+move
@F.E. If a simple synonym for "dick' would answer the O.P.'s question, then an answer to the question might be "penis move" – but that doesn't work.
Anyhow, I stand by my decision to reopen the question unilaterally. I saw a new user, from Brazil, accused of being a troll – an accusation that might be erroneous. I edited the question to have it fit community standards and left an answer.
If the user is really a "troll" as you presumed, I figured that would make itself apparent in future questions.
And I'd like to know, Why all the fuss about me reopening this question?
