No wonder this community is called toxic lol.

@SarcasticMathematician Is that your self-description? Sure sounds like it, Sarcastic!

@Xander What is the current status of an editor who embellishes the context in a question answered by a friend? math.stackexchange.com/questions/4564519/…. I reversed the edit, because the editor put work into the post as though he asked the question. See also the conversation between the editor and the answerer?
Allowing certain users to alter other's questions in order to preserve answerers answers, hampers the review process.
21:44
^^^ Get back to me when you can, please, @Xander, so no immediate response expected.
@amWhy Thanks for the heads up.
22:24
@XanderHenderson Now King Eric Wofsey has replaced DLR's edit.
@amWhy I don't see the issue there - people closed the post for low/missing context, someone came by and added some context. Seems like that's the system working as desired!
@KReiser That context should come from the OP; not to protect the sole answerer!
@Xander You've helped create a site of monsters. Congrats.
@amWhy I don't see the relevance of "protecting the answer" here. Can you expand on that? (I agree that it would be nice if the OP provided the context themselves, but if this site is a community endeavor, it seems reasonable to allow others to help.)
@XanderHenderson I wish to call your attention to the fact that amWhy lied to you. Me and Dave L. Renfro are not friends. Actually, I can't recall having ever exchanged any sort of message with him on any occasion other than here. Besides, amWhy herself has greatly improved a question with no input whatsoever from the OP; you can check it here.

@JoséCarlosSantos I did not lie. Grow up and defend yourself, and stop pointing fingers at others. David L told you about his changes; you said something to the effect "nice job". I.e., you condoned someone embellishing the question to make your answer seem appropriate, when, in fact, you answered a PSQ. Friends or not, is not the point. You condoned behavior that benefited you, though you were wrong to have answered, and David, and Eric, were wrong to aid you.
@Xander, or @quid, I need to speak with you privately. I am done addressing those trying to save face, and keep getting away with it.
23:02
@Xander Please provide me with a time when you will ping me with a link, when you have time to speak privately with me...as per my request yesterday.
@JoséCarlosSantos I really do not want to get into a game of "he said / she said" and a tit-for-tat back and forth. However, I fail to see how the question you linked is relevant. For one thing, it was posted before the guidelines for context edits and rewrites was posted (the question you linked is from 2018; the guideline is from 2020). Moreover, the edits to this question incorporate comment from the asker into the question.
Incorporating material generated by the original asker into a question is entirely appropriate, and should probably be considered a friendly help for new users, who may not know how to edit a question.
Finally, with regard to the comment about friendship, I agree that it is probably not appropriate to speculate, but I did not notice that comment earlier, and it had no bearing on my actions.
In any event, the two of you need to stop attacking each other in chat. Focus your critics or arguments on content. If you believe that the actions of a specific user are out of line, use flags.
