@XanderHenderson I had serial downvotes - 3 different recent answers downvoted within minutes and one of the well received questions was downvoted hours before. I had a similar episode of downvotes a while back and it was reversed. I flagged one of the answers that had downvotes but I did not hear back. I also left a comment here but have had no response so far. So I am tagging you and writing. Can this be investigated please? Most likely, someone seems upset with something.

@MathLover One day of downvotes is usually not serial downvoting. Perhaps three votes were; but generally not much can be done to reverse three downvotes, back to back. Moderators on sites do not have access to "who downvote who." I know this because I've been through it, very very often. If it has not continued since you posted here, or flagged, be happy. If it continues, then the mods can perhaps escalate the concern to SE CM's. Believe me, I have been through what you feel more times

than I can count. So I am sharing what I've come to learn.

I don't mean to minimize your concern. There is a "script" across the SE network, run once a day which can detect, typically, five or more downvotes or upvotes all cast within a very short period of time. If detected, the votes are reversed automatically. If not, it becomes a much more laborious problem that even site mods have to way to unravel.

Also, @MathLover You have every reason to expect an answer or response from a moderator to your flag and this question. So it was good to follow up here! Hang in there!

@amWhy when I answer a question and it gets multiple downvotes, that is understandable - something wrong with the answer. A downvote to an old answer - again understandable - someone did not like my answer. If three different answers get downvoted within 2-3 minutes, it is of course concerning and it is not normal. We are all supposed to keep the site clean but then I feel we should also have some protection against disgruntled users.

But thanks for sharing your experience. It is always better to know you are not alone :)
