Hey, the following question has been closed by OP, minutes after an answer had been posted. It is an interesting, quite simple yet not fully trivial question, with no similar post in MSE as far as I can tell. Would it be possible to undelete it ?

@Bill I am not claiming that I would never make mistakes interpreting other users' actions. Simply because those actions fit into a narrative, and I concede the possibility that actions of others will be interpreted in the context of such a narrative. Even if that is happening: 1) those "narratives" did not form in a vacuum (first impressions and all that), 2) I am most certainly not the only user in this chatroom using another users history as a context when interpreting their actions,
3) in a forum where normal visual clues are unavailable everybody should be careful about what kind of a picture their actions paint - they cannot just blame others for misinterpreting their actions.

@ThomasLesgourgues You probably meant to say that the questions was deleted rather than closed. The question is: Graph Theory: Graphs whose Scores are Arithmetic Sequences. (Just to make the transcript easier to read.)

Anyway, you and I sorting our differences (with varying degrees of success) will not help the more general problem, so I prefer to take this to meta for wider discussion (if I find the time I will elaborate ther on what I mean by "narrative" here).
@ThomasLesgourgues You don't need to bother the diamond bearers with such requests and they usually want community moderation to make such decisions. Did you try the dedicated meta thread? Or https://chat.stackexchange.com/rooms/2165/curedthe chatroom dedicated to such discussions?
Some users want to paint C.U.R.E.D. activists with dark shades, but somebody there will often respond, if you explain your reasoning.

You may also wish to post in GENTLE
at https://chat.stackexchange.com/rooms/97476/gentle (in addition to the strategies outlined above) unless you specifically commented because you thought the asker deleting was somehow nefarious, in which case flagging first might be a better choice.

I am curious why this deleted answer doesn't say that it is self-deleted despite the timeline says that the user self-deleted the answer? Is this a bug?

@JyrkiLahtonen Your "narrative" built models of users are almost always way off the mark. Please stop using these inaccurate models to justify putting your words into the mouths of your political opponents in order to tarnish their reputation. Above I explicitly said "my point is that there is a long history of politics getting in the way of rational thought (not only on matters of ethics)" yet you twisted this into a "defense of someone who willfully threatened..."
Please take some time to seriously introspect on the global dynamics of site politics. One of the primary reasons that folks take such extreme actions (e.g. said MH event) is that they are driven to their wits end by such ad hominem attacks and other unscrupulous argumentation techniques. We made a big mistake by allowing such on our "wild west" meta.
It's not too late to fix that. Only by doing so will meta be a forum where everyone feels comfortable sharing their views - which is essential if we are to have any hope of achieving the best compromises on policy decisions, etc.

@Bill There is something there. Anyway, I repeat, the narratives are not formed in a vacuum. They are based on the past actions of the said user. If someone answers near-duplicate PSQ by the truckload, that builds a certain narrative, and the said users ALL actions are then NOT UNNATURALLY interpreted in such light. There are other examples, but I'm not going to list them here.

Anyway, I concede the following danger of "narratives". Namely, they are hard to forget/modify/abolish. First impressions last a long time.
And people like me use narratives simply because they are easy, and the alternatives are VERY energy consuming when you have spent your life reading math problems more fluently than people.

Though, if I remember correctly, @Bill You are always the first to promote and advertise your narrative of me, in a reckless, wild west nature. So please practice what you preach, and take some tome to seriously introspect the global dynamics of you narratives of your favorite targets. You are quick to judge others, but demonstrate an unwillingness to heed your own advice to others. So, practice what you preach to others, and others might listen seriously to what you have to say.
Your narratives of the mods, of CURED participants, of Me, of anyone who has disagreed with you... Please consider the global impact on this site of your ongoing destructive narratives of many users on this site.

@JyrkiLahtonen One thing I always admire about you, Jyrki, is that you are honest about your thoughts and feelings, but at the same time, are the first to introspect, and sometimes (too quickly and easily perhaps) second-guess yourself. That is, you care, you are honest, and your are humble. I wish so badly you were still a mod, but I'm so glad you're still with us.
(Sorry for the typos.)

@amWhy I did not mention you above at all. Are you implying that I should not be able to mention examples of things that I think have caused damage to the site because some users who engaged in those actions would be offended? And I have no "narratives of mods etc" These are simply yet more ad hominem attacks. You are enaging in the same behavior I critiqued above.

I feel really bad for you Bill. So little introspection, and so very little insight. I am saying you do what you accused Jyrki of doing. All the time. Back to ignore. Please, Bill, seriously consider your role in years of conflict on this site.

@amWhy Please argue based on principles, not based on your gross misunderstanding of the person making the argument.

4:53 PM
@amWhy That's surely the best example of the pot calling the kettle black that I've ever seen (even while there is an active meta post complaining about your actions). Take your unfounded clickbait elsewhere please.

@Batominovski yes that's a known bug. On redeletion the original group that deleted shows up.
