@quid The claim was that user was one of my pet peeves. That's news to me. We've hardly ever interacted according to SEDE searches and we work in mostly different tags. That user would be nowhere near the top of any list of users that annoy me - not even close. I cannot even recall any prior interactions. As I said, I have no idea where that claim came from.
The fallout was that she blockled CRUDE action on that. She left a rude comment to me there, then upvoted it to prevent deletion, and further blocked the later VLQ deletion by voting "looks OK" when she surely knew the problems since I had discussed them at length in CRUDE. If there is anything that deserves to be called "vengeful" it's that. It is not the first time that she has taken extraordinary actions to reverse my efforts to fix things - efforts based on gross misunderstandings of motives
And the rude off-topic comment is still on main even though I flagged it. @quid

Here is the VLQ review. If you read the OP's question it is clear they are confused because they don't know aboout strong induction. So an answer that wrongly claims it is not using induction (when it really is using exactly the strong induction the user does no know) is very bad
@BillDubuque there are a couple of "looks ok" not taking sides on the math. For the comment, I removed it now.
It is absurd that I am being attacked for seeking help trying to fix a serious problem like this. If there is anything that can rightly be called one of my "pet peeves" it is wrong answers that can greatly mislead students (here esp. compounded by the fact that it was posted by a high rep user).
@quid Of course many of the review queue votes are robotic. But amWhy was aware of the prior CRUDE discussion and they were not.
There were 2 deletion votes in the VLQ review too.
And meanwhile someone else just upvoted it. Why do even try anymore.... the politics here is mind numbing.

I know my answers are weird bill.
@RoddyMacPhee Above has nothing to do with you.
@BillDubuque I refreshed the post so it can now be un-voted. How you get people to do so is up to you. Use whatever means are necessary.
I refuse to interact with the situation any further beyond that.

@quid For the record, around the time of the above, someone serially downvoted a handful of my posts (the script wasn't smart enough to reverse them all). This is not the first time that something like that has occurred after similar events like the above.

@BillDubuque indeed, seems suspect, if it is related, which is likely, it's of course not acceptable.
