@quid Sorry for disturbing you, my point is the same user commented under questions and answers of nearly every users who voted for deletion.

@Andrews to be clear it was a good thing that you flagged it. However, it would have been better to only flag. You could have raised an "other" flag on the relevant answer for example, stating what you have said here. (In addition to the no longer needed flags.) The point is it is not ideal to expose other users.

@quid What's wrong with asking someone this: Seriously (name) ?
For example if I say Seriously quid?

seriously Roddy? haha:)

I'm not even weighing in on that meta chat... That's on you.

Q: "Seriously?" as a response

philleeWhen someone says "seriously?" in response to a statement, in my experience it either means: Really? How stupid or How interesting! Tell me more I've mostly seen it as a response to #1, and only #2 when it's truly interesting, and usually only when it's unexpected. Are there other ways to...

@XanderHenderson see (from the accepted answer)"But in general, it is used as a response whenever a statement is unbelievable or out of the ordinary. " that's exactly what happened, I just couldn't believe what you said, that's it.

@Isabellatrix I am not a native speaker and thus would not consider myself as an expert. I also think it is quite context dependent. I'd say, it can be harmless and engaging but also pejorative towards scolding.
It all depends.
On context and how it is received.

11:38 PM
@quid Ok, thanks. For context, well, I think you already know about it (since you are on Math meta chat room)

@Isabellatrix by now yes. I had not read the details before.

11:56 PM
@quid so..
