Can anybody give some advice about this? (Not receiving notification about edited post.)
@MartinSleziak: Yup I got a notification of your comment to me under the question, but was not notified of your edit 3 minutes later. This is not the only instance, as some other posts of mine have also been edited, which I only accidentally discover a long time later (and so I don't know what else have been edited). It does not appear in my global inbox (stackexchange.com/users/1131127/user21820?tab=inbox) either. — user218203 hours ago
Of course, this is a thing where other experienced users might be able to help, not only mods. But I guess this rooms is not completely appropriated place to ask.
@MartinSleziak: I realized that I can see it under "User page > Activity > Responses > Revisions" despite it not being in the global inbox. I guess I'll just have to check there once in a while. — user218207 mins ago
Should I simply advice him to ask on meta.math.SE or meta.SE about this? Or is there already a post where this was discussed?
@MartinSleziak I do not know exact details but it is my understanding that it depends on the scope of the edit. (And for CW-post edits there is no notification either.)
@quid I did not know that there might be edits without notification. This post on meta.SE which was made when this was implemented, does not say anything about this.
I think I had notifications on edits on my CW posts. But Imight have misremembered this.
For example, I was notified about edit on this CW post.
I see in responses tab notification about an edit which only added 1 character to this post (non CW).
Of course, the fact that I see it in the responses tab does not mean that I had notification in my inbox. But if I recall correctly, notification in these two places used to be the same. (With the obvious exception that the inbox is global, for the whole SE network.)
:24642378 Ali, I am going to send another message to your advisors now. Good luck in future endeavors, which seem not to include mathematics of any kind.
@AsafKaragila The math.se account is gone. I've attempted to gain the attention of an MO mod. I've suspended the chat account (for now). If I have to, I'll get a CM involved to terminate that, too.
@ArthurFischer Well, there are other people there who are less interested in the technical, and more of the conceptual constructions. I'd do some name dropping, but I think it's also fine if I don't... :P
@Calculon: I heard that you are programmed to be very busy! What are you doing here?
