@Internetsheriffabc123 @induktio if doing math does not make your life happy, then you are doing the wrong thing.

@infinitesimal Doing math does make my life happy; I don't intentionally harass other people though.

Then live and let live.
If they want to intentionally harass others that's their problem.
We all do what makes us happy :-)
Real life will take care of those who get their happiness from harassment.

@Internetsheriffabc123 Per the thread on meta (math.stackexchange.com/help/editing), one reason for editing a post is "To add related resources or hyperlinks". That is exactly what I did for your answer on my question. I did not deface it.
@Internetsheriffabc123 And per the second paragraph on that thread: "If you are not comfortable with the idea of your contributions being collaboratively edited by other trusted users, this may not be the site for you." Thus, it really does not seem like MSE may be the site for you. I recall you saying in a chat that meta was simply a waste of time. You may want to read up on it; otherwise, yet again, this site may not be for you.

12:39 AM
@induktio It seems to me you did in fact not add a link. But merely re-formated two existing links. It is debatable if the edit improves the post or not. (Certainly it did not deface it either.) It might be noteworthy that you did not see any need to reformat a "naked" link in the other answer on that question. Frankly, I cannot help but feel that this edit was intended as a provocation.

@quid I don't think you're fully aware of what this user has been doing. See this: math.stackexchange.com/questions/1145719/…. Why didn't he comment on the other answer that "didn't answer the question"? This user is all about provocation; I have had no other users complain about me, but many users complain about him. And justly too.

@quid to be fair, the internet sheriff's very name is a provocation in and of itself :-)

Btw why does the internet really need a sheriff @Internetsheriffabc123?

@quid Also, the fact that my answer was downvoted 13 hours ago even though that post is over 2 weeks old...that's strongly suggestive of targeting. I'd also like to note that somehow his comment got 2 upvotes in terms of usefulness, suggesting to me those upvotes came from his at least 2 other fake accounts where his recent downvotes have come from. May not be true, but it seems highly likely.

1:05 AM
@induktio what I find very suggestive of targeting is that I got in the last two days more downvotes than in the last two months. In any case you make it extremely obvious, you even describe my formatting as "crappy", whereas there is nothing to complain about or to edit
also you are very clever for accusing me for having fake accounts, which is funny since in your case it is pretty obvious ("it is my brother who uses the same computer" LOL LOL).

Do those down votes bother you, considering how many you have given out @Internetsheriffabc123?
If you can't take it, don't dish it out, as they say :-)

@induktio I do not want to be dragged into this. I merely pointed out that you did not really do what you claimed, and also that your implicit claim that this was a normal edit seems not very credible. Anyway I am not a fan of all of @Internetsheriffabc123 activities. I am not sure what it is with the other answers though. The others seem to use the quadratic formula and thys closer to the question. But perhaps I miss something.

Thanks @quid for investigating these claims :)
It helps a lot.
The only way we can move forward guys @Internetsheriffabc123 @induktio is to be honest.
And I'm not accusing anybody of anything here, it's just a suggestion that has stood the test of time :)

Somebody just pulled the plug...

...they'll put the plug back in when they're ready to talk.

@infinitesimal not for another seven days.

:(
perhaps some cool down period will help
But with accusations of multiple accounts this could make it a lot worse.
Thus bringing out more clearly whether these accounts do exist.
If you guys feel that I should be suspended for my part in this, I'm ok with that :)

1:46 AM
@quid Let's not be that dramatic now. =)

Why not pal?
Can I still call you pal? @PedroTamaroff now that you're a moderator.

@infinitesimal We had enough of unnecessary drama, and February isn't over... yet.

Yes sir.

@PedroTamaroff I meant it less dramatic than it might read. And, February is over on SE.

@infinitesimal What did you do, now?

2:00 AM
That's for you to decide.

A suggestion (inspired by this and similar situations): never migrate from meta to main. The OP will be better off if their question is closed as OT and they are told to ask on main. Reasons:
1. They will be suggested similar questions based on title.
2. They will be able to choose tags
3. Most importantly, they will be able to improve their question if it gets put on hold. For a migrated question there is no second chance: once it's closed, it's locked.

@FamousBlueRaincoat Sounds reasonable.

I was very surprised to see that moderator undeletes are not always binding - I thought that they could not be over-ridden by a regular vote? Does it matter if the moderator undelete is the third undelete vote?

7:40 PM
@CarlMummert Moderator votes (close/reopen/delete/undelete) are always binding in the sense that when one is cast, then the respective action is immediately taken. However only deletions cannot be undone by community members.
