@AloizioMacedo My comment was intended as a general request. But the present situation is also a concern.

user131753
@AloizioMacedo Maybe by creating a private room?

user131753
Or, making a room of which on I am a owner private, then chatting about the said matter and afterwards deleting the comments?

user131753
But of course I agree that flags are the appropriate procedure instead of doing what I did.

As a matter of fact I don't really have much problem for the said comment to be publicly visible so long as it was not taken to be a, but my previous experience taught me something else @AloizioMacedo.

@user170039 Do you have more evidence regarding your suspicion? If so and they must be thoroughly elaborated, I'll create a private room. If not, I don't feel it is appropriate that I share my opinion regarding that matter. Not only they are biased by the tools (and lack thereof) that I have, but also, if you are correct, then that is certainly wrong. There is little to discuss other than "is it true or not", which belongs to the moderation part.
Flags regarding these kind of things can take a little while to be handled, but that is not because they are ignored, but because they are difficult problems which sometimes can take time due to multiple factors.

user131753
@AloizioMacedo That's why I would suggest not to create a new private room but to make a room of which I am the only owner private for a little while.

@user170039 Which kind of room is not the relevant part. I am asking about the purpose of the conversation. Because if it is only my input regarding the matter that you want, it is either dull and simple: "this is wrong, if true", or related to confidential aspects.

user131753
@AloizioMacedo It is related to confidential aspects, to be precise about a particular user.

2:39 PM
Ok, just to clarify: you have information related to aspects of an user which you want to share, confidentially, and you think that a flag is too small a medium for that, correct?

user131753
@AloizioMacedo Precisely.

OK. Wait a minute.

@quid, @AloizioMacedo, I see that yet again, @user170039 is posting a message, deleting it immediately, just so only mods see it. I presumed the purpose of this chatroom is not to use it secretly. Had @user170039 asked to speak with a mod privately, in this chat, without removing that request, that would be fine. Else this practice in this room will be replicated by other users, like me!
Also for the purpose of a private conversation with a mod, that chatroom to be created, and later deleted if necessary, by a mod only. To make this user the owner of a private room is stepping beyond propriety. In fact, if a mod creates a private room and makes @user170039 an owner as well, I want the very same thing, and every user ought to be have to have a private room which they own, from which to communicate privately with any particular mod, as desired, and at will.
@user170039 slippery slope here. So that should be a request every user on MSE can have honored upon demand and suspicion of some user's behavior? If not, why are you so special to "deserve" this exception?

5:32 PM
@amWhy Yes, this is bad practice. However, the last deleted comment was just a "no longer needed" one.

@amWhy the system enforces all this.

Thanks, @AloizioMacedo, and @quid. I am concerned primarily because of what the conversations in this chat might come across to third party users: that a particular user seems to have a privilege not granted other users coming here: i.e., favoritism toward this particularly demanding user.

As a matter of policy (at least my policy), as time permits, every user's request to chat privately with a moderator are granted.
But I think that other mods handle this in the same way.

@quid That's fine. But count the number of comments it took @user170039, to convey such a request: first wanting an answer from any number of mods about a comment they deleted in this chatroom, then continuing to be vague, but insisting they have more to say, to suggesting a private room which they alone own, within which they can converse with a mod... etc. Perhaps mods haven't considered the following: this user's chronic use of the chatroom to post and delete messages, and/or beg
for a private chat with any of all mods, upon demand, is one reason I (and others) no longer frequent this chat as regularly we had done before.

5:52 PM
@amWhy I think the intent was to simplify matters, to avoid creating an extra room, and to have it private only during the conversation. Either way, for several reasons it was/is not a feasible idea. But I think it was presented in the sprit of making things simple.

See Smokey's flags here.
@quid @AloizioMacedo This user is still causing problems. I flagged one of the questions. Check the edit histories.

@XanderHenderson I'm looking into it. There is a small detail regarding the user which I wish to clarify first.

Groovy. Thanks.

It might be worth accessing (I mean for moderator/s to consider accessing) any other deleted questions from this user, since they've been a member for 10 days now, particularly if they were vandalized then deleted or just deleted only after having gotten an answer.
