@user170039 my understanding was that a remark by Asaf was misunderstood as an encouragement to perform a clean-up activity. This was quickly clarified and it was agreed upon to proceed at a lower pace and with care. As I explained repeatedly it is not a good idea to organize moderation along the lines of a user-account even when each action is justified.
But it is also not feasible to exclude completely that if one comes across an account one looks in addition at a couple of posts and acts on them. If we want to disallow this completely we'd better drop the public user pages altogether.

Thanks for the explanation @quid.

It seems really surprising that you are always the one to provide explanations @quid. I would be glad if other moderators also has some input (not regarding this particular matter, but in general).

I would like to hear the opinion of other mods also. The new mods (@AsafKaragila and @AloizioMacedo) for example - the first of whom seems too busy to respond and the second of whom can't even be pinged in this room.

Hello
I would like to know why my (imo very reasonable) flags for rude behavior keep getting declined
When someone is throwing all caps at you, or using words like "even" or bolding sentences or putting words in your mouth to put you on the defensive etc
I consider this highly bad faith and disruptive / rude / condescending discussion style and I don't see why it keeps getting upheld

@user170039 I'll pass on your message

@user525966 I declined your flag. I also consider caps rude, but the context makes it clear that the caps were intended to highlight the importance of that inquiry. I do understand that the comments can be seen as entering a grey area, but there is no explicit rudeness and the comments have relevant content of clarification.

@AloizioMacedo Hello! How is mod life suiting you? :-)

@amWhy There are days with spiked activity, but mostly things are relatively calm. People are quite reasonable in general, and when they are not it is usually in an obvious way.
@amWhy It turns out that moderating MSE is far less stressful then participating in the "moderation" of a relatively small study-room in my university.
@user170039 I'm leaving now, I'll look up at the situation as soon I as I am back and give my input.

Hello, @MichaelGreinecker! $\left(\ddot\smile\right)^{\Large /}$

Hello. What an appropriate use of \smile!

@MichaelGreinecker Glad you like it. It's an improvement over the "wave": o/

@DanielFischer I hope all is good with you!

@user170039 There were a lot of concomitant subjects. I don't understand if your comment is intended as a general request (to have the opinion of other mods in general), or as a request to an opinion on a specific situation. If it is on a specific situation, could you point out which one exactly?
If it is about commentary regarding your deleted comment, I don't understand how could I effectively comment on the situation while preserving the secrecy which I conjecture you want (by deleting the comment). Having considered that, I repeat what quid said: flags are the appropriate procedure instead of doing what you did.
