Have you read the ffmpeg documentation from top to bottom? It does not look so. The programmers active on Stack Overflow are not here to avoid the necessity of reading the documentation of an application which somebody wants to use. — Mofi 31 secs ago

Have you read the ffmpeg documentation from top to bottom? It does not look so. The programmers active on Stack Overflow are not here to avoid the necessity of reading the documentation of an application which somebody wants to use. The documentation contains the sentence: For creating a video from many images: and an example. Please note that in a batch file each % must be escaped with one more % while on using the command line directly in a cmd window each % must not be escaped with one more %. — Mofi 46 secs ago

Please, post text as text, not as photographs of text. This is a website for programmers, not photographers. We want to copy&paste&run your code and read your error messages, not critique your use of color and perspective. Also, please make sure to post everything relevant to answering your question in your question, not on some third-party site somewhere else. — Jörg W Mittag 34 secs ago

In my eyes, this question is about software structure and engineering practice, so I referred him to the Software Engineering site. That it's poorly formulated is another topic that can be dealt with. There are similar questions around here that have been voted up, so it can be done. I tried to reformulate the question and suggested to reopen. — Florian 7 secs ago

Yes, that is possible in Java/Kotlin. Yes, there a Comparator code that can be used to achieve this sorting. Now read: Why is “Is it possible to…” a poorly worded question?Andreas 37 secs ago

there are other sites where question like those can be asked, still on stackexchange, probably software engineer softwareengineering.stackexchange.com here on stack overflow the topic must be more focused to a problem, something like "i've tried this to chieve that, it does not work, why ?" — L.Trabacchin 1 min ago

Questions that ask "where do I start?" are typically too broad and are not a good fit for this site. People have their own method for approaching the problem and because of this there cannot be a correct answer. Give a good read over Where to Start and edit your post. — gunr2171 7 secs ago

Possibly you are redefining a symbol from the header in your code. Or, possibly you need to fix Xcode settings. Nobody can help unless you post details, like the complete actual error message. You need to learn to cut and paste; many programmers never learn anything else. — stark 37 secs ago

Break the problem down into steps (e.g. how to read from a file, first of all, then how to split each line into parts) and research each part (google is your friend, if you type simple and precise searches), and then try to implement each part. Get each bit working separately, then put it all together into the total solution. That is the basic technique all programmers use really, if they are sensible. It might make programming a bit easier and more enjoyable. — ADyson 25 secs ago

Although PHP is case-insensitive, it's a good habit to use the case specified in the documentation. That is echo vs. Echo or ECHO. Many things can be case sensitive, especially programmers themselves, so it's a good idea to steer towards consistency. A sloppy single character mistake can waste hours or days of time. — tadman 24 secs ago

@SHIVANSH, You know that Andy is a software engineer at Google don't you? You're right, there are trade-offs. It might be faster in a single loop, but if the data is a certain way looping twice could actually be faster than looping once (see my comment on Andy's answer). In any case, the execution speed is only one consideration. You should also think about how easy it is to read and maintain the code. In some situations you might also care about how much memory is used during the operation. The single loop methods use more memory than two loops, unless you know of a different way to do it? — ᴇʟᴇvᴀтᴇ 43 secs ago

I like your solution even if some programmers will complain that it is not recommended at all. Could you add some explanations ? For example why you use ++i and not i++. I know the reason (<=21 for example does not work with i++) but it could be interesting to explain this trick. — Stef1611 46 secs ago

@patrickf The time zone of the Calendar doesn’t matter (not only because no wise programmers are using Calendar anymore) also because getTimeInMillis() returns the same millisecond count regardless of time zone. — Ole V.V. 1 min ago

@JordanReiter From What topics can I ask about here? in the help center, software questions are allowed if they cover "[...] software tools commonly used by programmers". Sublime Text, like vim, emacs, Notepad++, etc., is a programming editor, and there are tens of thousands of questions about them on this site that are perfectly on-topic. — MattDMo 36 secs ago

Readers here are in the habit of encouraging question authors here to be active participants in the search for a solution. I tend to think that the best attitude to have when asking a question is How can I fix this? Requests of the form fix it for me plz are not ideal, since there are not enough engineers here to work for free for everyone who requests it, and moreover, if someone does all the work, you miss the chance to become an incrementally better software engineer. — halfer 41 secs ago
