@jokerdino well that explains it. hopefully all the "options" actually make it in to dconf so it's not like "no we don't want you tweaking that because it introduced a bug, so it's hard coded now :|"
i alternately like and dislike that so much is trying to be "improved". rapid change is sort of good, but it goes against the measure twice cut once thing...
whoever makes the applet tray to webkit bridge is going to be a god to my thinking (so you can do a monstrous on bottom root window with webkit and manage your own UI instead of depending on stock stuff)
I am trying to install ubuntu 12.04 along side with windows 8. After selection of option installing along side with windows 8 the installation will copy required files, after completing that action copying files indication will go prompting to click continue button. When i am pressing this butto...

I have a CD with Ubuntu 10.10 and a laptop with Ubuntu 8.10. I logged in to askubuntu.com using my Launchpad OpenID, but, afaik Gravatar uses email address to identify the account.
How will be linked to this profile in this case?
@Joshua there's nothing inherently wrong with closed source. don't get me wrong, i'm on the linux side of the fence, but at least closed source applications (the ones that don't copy large swathes of open source code) are honest about what they're profiting on. some OSS companies profit on the work donated to the world by others
