Hey all! AAAH.. the first thing i see when I log into chat is my ugly face!
Because of the support tag?
or because I posted in meta?

Is the following askubuntu.com/questions/1346154/… on or off-topic? I would say OFF simply because none of it is official flavors of Ubuntu.

Yea I saw that one too, I didn't say anything just because of the "(U18.04)." I had no idea what CAELinux(U18.04) meant. I assumed it was over my head. Is that even a thing? CAELinux(U18.04) ?
I thought CAELinux was a different distro altogether.
@Mods Is jon skeet a real person? I am pretty sure he or she is not. Am I wrong?
It is a dead meme from SE from A LOONG time ago, before I had this account.
Oh well, I needed to change it anyway. Most people don't get the ref, and then it just sounds weird & creepy % )
WTF he is real!. That is embarrassing. I always assumed that it was just a name pulled out of thin air! That is embarrassing! LOL Dont think it can qualify as impersonating someone, if I didn't know they existed.. That poor guy.

@Terrance It's off-topic both as not about Ubuntu and as opinion-based.
@user1164434 It's because you posted in meta.

@BeastOf Caerbannog Im glad you're here. I directed a rude comment toward you yesterday morning and felt bad about it. I just read your message at the wrong time.(hold on a sec; msg too long. Posting in pieces)my own bad mood on others, Either way, my comment was disrespectful, and that isn't normally me.
(hold on a sec; msg too long. Posting in pieces)
I had just realized 10 minutes earlier that I was going to have to go to work on literally 0 sleep and was in a bad mood. As I said, I felt bad about it all day, so I am sorry. Not sure if you even saw it.
I'm pretty sure that it was deleted. I thought that you were being purposefully rude, but now I think it was just me projecting my own bad mood on others, Either way, my comment was disrespectful, and that isn't normally me.
The reason for the crappy answer I gave: it was a placeholder. I had helped a 1rep user to get his install straightened out in chat, and he wanted to give me credit. I rushed an answer up with the intention of editing, because I knew that once he left, he would never be back. I honestly could have given a crap less about the rep, but if its right in front of me and I earned it (In that case, I worked a part-time shift for it… -s ).
If I wanted rep, I surely wouldn't have wasted the 5 hours helping some rando. I was just trying to be a good person. Maybe that is why I got upset. It's like a "no good deed goes unpunished."
Just know that that is not my character. I am guessing we will be seeing each other around, as I plan to be on here a lot more from here on out. The AU community is miles above that of SO (IMO) Hopefully we can grow to be friends. Regardless, just know that I have nothing but respect for you. Anyway, I'm going back to bed for real this time.

@user1164434 I never saw your comment, which I suppose got flagged as rude by another user and got removed pretty quickly, as was your answer (which by the way I hadn't flagged as not an answer, just downvoted, because I was expecting that you'd come back and make it a proper answer).
I had commented something like "This is not an answer, just a pointer to a general direction. Please edit your answer and add the steps needed to solve the problem. If you do, please ping me and I will gladly remove my downvote and upvote your answer.", exactly because it was not an answer and as such it would get flagged and removed (as it did) unless improved.
My downvote was meant both as a signal that something was wrong with the answer and as a motivation for you to fix it. I had watched the long conversation in the chat, where you and bacon managed to solve Jon Skeet's issue, so I new that you had everything you needed to write a good and specific answer.
As I said, I haven't even seen your comment (and I won't ask about its specific content) and I wouldn't even know if you wouldn't talk about it. I appreciate the fact that you did though and accept your apology.
@BeastOfCaerbannog I meant Eddie V's issue, you were Jon Skeet.

Q: Why do we have so many usb tags?

Random PersonThere are four tags which I would like to focus upon: usb-drive usb-storage usb-c usb-device Do we really require these many tags? I feel usb-c tag is not good one. It sets a precedent that we can have tags like micro-usb, usb-a, etc. Please decide what should be done to all these tags.
