I want to script the installation of a ubuntu VPS, id like it to pull the latest installation direct from a mirror when a new machine is requested and the script kicked off
Although I know nothing about FFes, I heuristically predicted that there would be a fix released soon ("days at the latest", IIRC) because (a) it was a regression (b) it was a SERIOUSLY bad widespread bug and (c) the person fixing it is the official Ubu/Debian CUPS maintainer and is one of the lead CUPS devs and is employed by the Linux Foundation <= someone to be taken seriously (for better or for worse...)
@JorgeCastro @jokerdino so you tell me why a regression from Oneiric to Precise, with an upstream-authored patch attached, and two of them nonetheless, are being ignored.
They mostly use victims' blogs for ads for various sporting activities, since the non-geeks think it's easier to keylogger a computer than to get a wordpress.com account...
you know those big VPS hosts, where you use a webpage to "buy" a VPS and then its all automatically provisioned and you get an email with your IP address... any clues how they do that? I presume they have standard operating system image, but then they must apply some kind of script somewhere?
@JorgeCastro apparently it was flagged as a regression within the description, but not within the tags. This is the regression bug. And the segfault bug was untagged as a regression bug, but it is a "High" priority bug, and the bugfix is attached.

When I'm trying to boot instances on a specific host (sleepy) by issuing:
nova boot --image mybucket/image.manifest.xml --flavor m1.tiny --key_name mykey --hint force_hosts=sleepy test-vm
my VMs always seem to start on a random host instead on the one I targeted. Does anybody know why that mig...
