Q: Errors running "nordvpn connect" on Wake from Suspend

zippkiddI'm running Pop!_OS, a Ubuntu based OS, and I want to run nordvpn disconnect before suspend and nordvpn connect after suspend. I'm using code from this arch linux wiki and can't get the nordvpn connect/nordvpn disconnect commands to run on system wake. I added the file 99nordvpn-reload to /lib/sy...

Q: Ubuntu/Debian server loses network sporadically when wired and running Docker

DavidI have spent months on this problem, and I'm just about at my wits' end. I have a home media server that runs docker to run containers. I have a docker-compose file that I have all my stuff defined in. The box itself is given a static IP by the network (eero in this case). I run docker-compose up...

@terdon You may recall at the beginning of March you advised me to move my GenBank text manipulation question from U&L to Bioinformatics Q&A. After waiting 3 months I received a precise, elegant answer to it at Bioinformatics Q&A.

good, then we're finished :)
Thanks
I hope the bug is fixed. I accidentally followed that post and it was deleted fast by Thomas.
@karel better late than never!
That's... not a very elegant solution though. And it only works if you have just one entry!
13:37
@terdon I tested it a few times with different data. I made my own dataset with five entries and it worked on that dataset too. The markdown formatting looks a little off in the answer, but the formatting of the results was crisp and neat every time I tried it.
@karel Oh it works, it's just not elegant. It requires you to reverse grep one word and then use an arbitrarily large number, you need to read the file twice... I posted a simpler approach with sed that should be much faster for large files and can deal with as many entries as you want.
Ah. But mine loses the second db_xref. Crap.

Got it, @karel!

There's a lot of interest in this topic lately.
What topic? Parsing flat files?
Parsing GenBank files. There giving questions like this to students who post their homework on Stack Overflow.
really? That's surprising, it's a pretty old format. These days there are better methods of getting what you need, I haven't had to work with these files in a long time.
Most people these days work directly with bioconductor (R), biopython or bioperl instead of parsing the files themselves.
