@Fabby No because foo.c only contains a printf. There is no library I have to link against
I can execute it as is
although it says "shared object file"

@Fabby IMHO questions which are raised just because of a typo won't result in a good answer. So, it might not be useful for future readers. I talked about this question here only. For which @Terrance said that it is judgemental call. So, I just voted to close as dupe and was supported by 4 other people including you :)

@traducerad OK...
@Kulfy :-) Thumbsup

@Kulfy Interesting read...
Thank you.

Q: Compile Chromium Browser for ARM (2019)

Kc GibsonI've tried compiling Chromium for arm several times on Ubuntu 18, 16 and 14 but they all have their issues (mostly outdated-non existing packages). Building for amd64 has run perfectly, so I know the environments are relatively ok. I've been follow this page but it doesn't go into to much depth....

@Kulfy indeed. We even have a close reason for precisely this sort of issue:

@terdon Yeah but it is sometimes hard to decide that whether it's OT or dupe at least for me. IMHO marking as dupe are better than closing as OT. And yes I do accept that it won't be a good signpost though.

I just found that someone already predicted that @ByteCommander would be the new mod in the next (2019) election.
@ByteCommander Get ready, you are next. — daumie Jul 10 '16 at 10:41

Is this the smallest kernel update in history with two lines changed in two files to fix something in TCP? Were there a lot of broken Internets a few days ago???

Q: Make error when running 'dpkg-buildpackage -b --no-sign'

ogg130The problem: I get about 3/4 of the way through the following article: https://medium.com/bluekiri/packaging-a-net-core-service-for-ubuntu-4f8e9202d1e5 ...get to the point where I run 'dpkg-buildpackage -b --no-sign' and recieve errors. The only thing I have done differently than the steps in t...

@WinEunuuchs2Unix could be. I once saw a patch that only fixed typos in comments

@Rinzwind Previous kernel update was only 1 day earlier. I think they were fixing a catastrophic bug. But I never looked since I'm 18 kernel versions behind anyway LOL
My current project is called movie.sh. When you are watching a movie on the big screen the other two monitors slowly dim after 5 minutes of keyboard/mouse idleness. If you move the mouse the two dimmed monitors step back to brightness quickly (but not instantly). I wondering if this is too fringe for mainstream though?
