Because flag as "not an answer" or other optoin do not fit the case
"improve this answer" to me screams

Here is the log of errors below. Hopefully, someone can...

Q: How to keep a compiled version

ChristianI have some applications which get compiled in the cloud-init script and which are time consuming. How can I keep a compiled version which can be downloaded instead of compiling each time? Is there anyone here that has experience setting up a mail server?
17:27
not me. I use postmark :)
Not me. Everywhere I worked used google hosted services.
@blade19899 I did set up postfix
I recommend MailInABox tho
^^ that. I'ld use postfix if I had to do it myself, but there is a certain elegance to muling it out to "Google probably got it right, and it's cheap"
@AmithKK I have a server setup with Exim end Dovecot, but can't send email via 465/587?
Triying to find the conf where enables 465/587??
Do you have SSL certificates already? Those seem like pre-reqs

Yeah the certs are necessary
@RobotHumans Yeah, everything is setup
Check the logs?
I believe you find them using doveadm log find
probably flashbanned for spam. we had to be really careful where i worked before when we ran our mailserver in house, because we got flagged for spam that was actually hollow test data sent to emails we controlled and texts sent to phones we controlled where end devs blocked the SMS originator and it came back as a spam flag.
even yandex blocked us, because i had a half dozen test accounts there
@RobotHumans damn :O
it happens. to be fair, when we did a testing batch run, i generated a hundred or so SMS and a couple dozen emails.
17:50
Does anybody have the conf file that enables 465 on dovecot?
might want to read this
@RobotHumans LMAO, just found that link xD
I can't find anything that that explains how to make dovecot bind to 465
Gonna try to use exim to bind to 465
