Network Manager keeps not wanting to connect. Now it seems to break after 2 days of uptime. Maybe taking my laptop through the subways where it tries to connect to a bajillion wifi points isn't the best for it, but one would think it could be resilient to it.

@dessert Thanks a lot for you help anyway :) I really appreciate it. I think my provider uses his own Package lists (if that's how they're called) instead of the default ones provided by Ubuntu and they simply don't have the package

I have installed Informatica Server in vmware workstation 10 on Ubuntu 16.04 OS.
But I am facing the below mentioned issues :
1.After I start the services, using "infaservice.sh startup" command, I don't think all the services are coming up.
2.Admin console is not starting, also it gets redire...
But considering that it works again for me, I'd say it's an intermittent issue. Maybe it takes time for the change to propagate to all machines in the load balance cluster.
@Unnamed Can you explain why you're running catkin_make_isolated and what you did before that? You had mentioned you were following these instructions, but those don't say to run catkin_make_isolated. I'm not saying you don't need to run it, but I don't know about the situation you're in where you have to run it.

@IonicăBizău No! You didn't listen: you need the SSD in a faulty state, you need to revover from the HDD. if that fails, you need to be able to take another copy.
ddrescue will just dd one drive to antother in the same failed state.
but if you make a mistake in the recovery process, at least you will be able to try again.
then RTFM and recover to the HDD (ensure it's at least as big as the SSD and has additional space to recover the files to (no -in-place recovery possible) so you'll end up with 3 copies:
failed SSD, failed HDD in recovery mode, good partition on the HDD that contains recovered files.

@Fabby i've got a server in NY with a 1Gbps symmetric uplink. Jack into the connection that feeds the internet directly here at my home in PA, transfer a 1GB file to the remote server for the upload test, transfer a 1GB file back from the remote to my system to test download
@Fabby so, right now my network gets about 28MB/s when I'm jacked into the LAN, which indicates i'm near a cap of 250Mbps (~31MB/s) likely at the edge where my pfSense sits. so with regards to teh speed increase, if I get somewhere in the realm of 100-125 MB/s download speeds from within the LAN then I'm in the gig range, with the drop being related to the network filtering at the border.
