Something like that. It's useful for a lot of users though.

I tried ln -s /dev/null ~/whatever/activity.sqlite ... did not work out well. There's an interface for it now. Working on one to toggle lenses so you can keep the history if you find it useful, but turn lenses on and off.

@jrg It looks interesting, but I think of it as two separate things. Canonical being the commercial branch that comes out with enterprise type tools and Ubuntu for DIY-ers. It could be a misconception, but I like that arrangement more than some others I've seen.
