Anyone knows which package is for installing libgl?
aptitude search libgl, shows a lot!
@alFReDNSH apt-cache search libgl | grep mesa is a lot cleaner
thanks...
installed mesa-dev
though didn't really solve my problem :P
since I don't have a graphic card :P
20:38
anyone there?
Kinda
bash: ./ptest: cannot execute binary file ... any one can help with this thing
chmod +x ptest?
the ptest is an exe file writen in prolog
i do it
20:40
wine ptest
what
is an exe file. run it in wine
its a scheme tester written in prolog
its an executable
after the chmod
Can you answer this? Empathy and Skype - can't see incoming messages http://askubuntu.com/questions/43410/empathy-and-skype-cant-see-incoming-messages?atw=1 #empathy
?
any help?
20:41
I'm looking up prolog right now, hang on
Have you run any prolog based applications prior to this ptest?
no
%%% Module load.
:- use_module(library(lists)).

% Main.
main :- (current_prolog_flag(argv, [_, FILE|FUNCTIONS]),
(access_file(FILE, read) ->
main(FILE, FUNCTIONS);
writeln('ERROR: cant find file'(FILE)));
writeln('ERROR: arguments number')),
halt.

% Check the file.
main(FILE, FUNCTIONS) :- open(FILE, read, S),
read_stream_to_codes(S, TEXT),

findcontracts(CONTS, LINES, []),
findall(X, finddefinitions(X, TEXT, _), FUNCS),
(is_set(CONTS) ->
(is_set(FUNCS) ->
(sort(CONTS, SORTCONTS),
my question is did you download an '.exe' or source
gprolog.org <--- there's a prolog compiler for linux
i download a zip source
Yeah the code is cool and all but thats not telling me anything about the prolog toolchain.
extract it
and do the chmod
it is just a test for contracts functions in scheme
20:44
i think it reuqires an interpreter
i may be wrong but i'm not seeing anything saying otherwise
i think its works on 64 bit.. but i have 32 bit
i wouldn't think it requires 64 bit unless you implicitly have prolog 64 bit packages installed.
its intenteded to be run on embedded logic systems.
but the ptest is an executable file....
not a prolog code
i cant accurately state this is a good tutorial, it looks like its as old as the hills.
but so far its been the most informative.
i dont want to run prolog
just the exe file
20:48
points to aking's answer then
to download it?
i need food, i'm probably talking out both sides of my head.
hunger... it clouds vision.
@aseed sudo apt-get install gprolog to install it, but I have never used that build system...so that's as far as I can take it
ok thanks
i will check it
20:51
@aking1012 dude. 2 hours of merging in a rebase session.
not working but thanks any way... i will check another chat room
i think i just imploded my userspace.

@lazyPower That sounds bad
jrg
jrg
(sorry. Its a joke that whenever someone says "cloud", you make fun of them for going to the cloud. :P)
i had a prototype thats going into production next week and its 2 months behind in patches.
@jrg we ARE the cloud. You know you love it.
Ouch.../me is sorry for you
eh, its all good. I forked it and kind of forgot about it.
so now i get the pain.
20:58
@lazyPower So in other news, I've got some python that pulls words from a dictionary - feeds it to crunch - pipes it to XMPP authorization. Hydra says it works for XMPP, but it doesn't work properly and only works with files, not piped crunch output.
nice.
if you're piping streams i dont see what the difference is
input is input.

Q: linux mint debmirror

Aleksandr KravetsI'm using Linux Mint 12 Lisa and for some reason want to have local packages repository. I've done local copies before on Ubuntu and it was easy. But unlike Ubuntu's archive.ubuntu.com, packages.linuxmint.com is a webpage, not directory listing. So i'm stuck... How to make Linux Mint package repo...

@lazyPower Yeah, hydra only likes files...not streams. And the thing with crunch is it can outrun how fast you can try connections. So it's a lot of for line in subprocess.stdout and breaking up the crunch transforms into manageable pieces
Surely you could patch hydra to use a stream instead of files... But i dont know much about it to be honest.
I could...but then I would still have the problem of the transform(crunch) outrunning the connection speed.
Also, then I would have to fix another problem with hydra that makes XMPP not work right
21:03
wait so buffering is a no go, and hydra doesnt like xmpp to begin with? i'm'lost.
buffering could work...but then i would have to stall out the transform intentionally. and hydra only sort of works for xmpp
i think i'm officially not getting it aking. You've eclipsed me in purpose and intent.

Q: Building a custom xbmc distro with ubuntu

Coder404THIS IS RELATED TO LINUX!!! How could you use ubuntu to create your own distro of XBMC (ex. Boxee Plex)? Is there a site (I checked XBMC's wiki and found nothing) that tells u how to do this?

@jrg Well...If I'm going to do some of the touchier things and try and fix/improve I kind of want to do it right
@fossfreedom I am hoping to get back my #8 for the year ranking..
maybe another target would be the first page of all users? That would be a good one to target :)
That one is in the long term goals. :)
jrg
jrg
@aking1012 Absolutely nothing wrong with that.
22:27
I had a mental target list.
3k --> second page --> 5k --> first page.
now that the first three are done, moving on to attack first page.
... just need another 2K+ ... next month?
I guess so.
good luck with that then :)
ooh 10 people and 1800 rep between me and first page.
22:31
@aking1012 ouch ... another list question ... and this time from Marco !
> There are no pending suggested edits to review!
I was getting excited about the edits queue and then... :(
@jrg can you fix the rss feed issue for 2buntu? i can't read the full post from google reader :(

@RolandTaylor Its really fun to watch this number go up and up and up...
@jokerdino I thought you just weren't able to contact the server, not a 404?
Oh wait, yeah. Mine was a connection failed.

23:23

23:50
Oh man - we're getting traffic from Reddit now?
:D
jrg posted an anti-fedora article
Sure did
That's a pretty neat one...He backed up the why though.
@aking1012 1'es it.
What do you think Stack Exchange will do for April Fools' Day?
23:55
Will do or should do?
Can you answer this? How to simulate right-click in Kubuntu 10.10 http://askubuntu.com/questions/46184/how-to-simulate-right-click-in-kubuntu-10-10?atw=1 #mouse
Haven't done yet?
@GeorgeEdison Free goodies for everyone.
@GeorgeEdison I'ld like to see some website have a fake 'somebody deleted all files in webroot' type of landing page that redirects after a couple seconds to a 'just kidding...april fools'. For stack specific, it would be funny to replace rep values for a moment.
Could also tack a moderator star on everyone's page, but not grant any moderator priviledges...that would be kind of a 'you have to catch it' joke though
