I suggest you download the ISO using normal HTTP (no torrents) to one USB drive, and then after the download completes use dd to write it to the other.

As it stands, it really isn't very clear which is why @Rinzwind suggested you post an answer: presumably, he thought the script did work at least partially. The one in question is being decommissioned though.

AWS does a decent job of locking things down. Their firewall blocks all ports except RDP initially.

Ah. Quick question - I was actually thinking about setting up an LXDE RDP to my Ubuntu EC2 instance so I don't have to use the command line for everything, but all the docs say I have to enable password auth. I don't want to do that, I want to keep key auth.

Can I keep key auth and use RDP?
