Have you guys heard the Red Hot Chili Peppers? They sound really quite nice actually... Haven't listened to much music from the 90s... Maybe I should...

I like the sound but lyrics put me off

@ParanoidPanda I used to listen to a few songs of them, but not recently.
Checked out Leo Moracchioli already btw?

@JourneymanGeek need some moderation superuser.com/questions/1096851/…

user136984
@Zanna: Agreed, though I can't really hear the lyrics as there is too much background noise so it suits me! :D

user136984
@ByteCommander: Yes, that's some crazy stuff. ;P

8:28 PM
haha to be fair ~ 95% of pop music has lyrics that offend me

That's the point of pop

best not to listen too hard

May I ask what kind of lyrics or topics are offending you?

To be catchy and questionable in language
@ByteCommander go look up Jason Derulo and listen to some of the explicit versions

Better not.

8:30 PM
he doesn't even bother with innuendos
Pitbull is good for those

er usually sexism/racism/some other grossness

\m/ (^_^) \m/

user136984
This hilarious thing happened to the other day... I was looking for a Judas Priest video and I accidentally ran into this...: :D

user136984
8:31 PM
It actually sounds really nice and I'm listening to it again! :D

Priest band?

I don't think it's the point of pop... Beyonce manages to be catchy and totally right on

@Zanna her new songs?

user136984
@ByteCommander: Yes, I miss clicked... :P

No thanks.

user136984
8:32 PM
But it is really beautiful music, you should have a listen.

user136984
I'm really glad I ran into it actually.

user136984
Not at all what I was looking for though so it gave me a shock! :D

@Zacharee1 yeah

uh

I skimmed through it, but still no thanks.
I prefer youtube.com/watch?v=aMJdGTOoNaw @ParanoidPanda

8:34 PM
you skimmed through a video

@Zacharee1 Wrong word? How do you call it instead if you only listen to a few seconds and then skip a part and listen the next snippet?

skipped through maybe

user136984
@ByteCommander: As far I can tell they are all priests in the band... :D

skimming implies you saw all the content'

user136984
@Zacharee1: Or that the contents is milk. :P

8:36 PM
sigh

Kay, thanks.

I need music with no lyrics, I'm marking exams in a (horrible) java app and singing distracts me

user136984
This one is rather funny... :D

user136984
But I will stop letting you all know about strange things I've found... For now. :P

user136984
8:39 PM
Makes me think of Father Ted... :D

@ParanoidPanda well not bad at all, still not my favorite kind of music :)

user136984
Listening to this now:

for me it'S this ^
Russian Turbo Polka Metal

8:52 PM

:D
^ very colorful
I wonder what their producer smoked before making this video.

user136984
VTC this as too broad.

Already did long ago...
Oh no. I forgot. I only commented. Stupid me. >.<

9:06 PM

@ByteCommander I like it (:

Nice, me too. I even own a CD of them.

9:22 PM
It's an autobiography

oh hi zanna you should come to chat more often
there are a lot of great people here

^_^ I already have negative time to spend getting pleasantly distracted :S
18,000 answers marked, 19,000 to go... I'd probably have finished this by now if AU weren't so addictive

Uh oh?
Test preparation ?

I am marking exam for pearson... in awful online java app. Mind numbingly dull
sometimes I get to laugh at the funny things the students write, if I can actually read their handwriting

that is not too different from AU ;)

9:33 PM
haha also you get the same question over and over and over and over and over and over again

@Zanna so you're accustomed to pain, perfect addiction candidate for AU
xD

haha I'm also chained to my laptop for most of the day trying to do it
(but... I am rarely separated from my laptop, chain or no chain)

Q: Signature-based rootkit scanner?

Paranoid PandaCurrently the only rootkit scanners I know of have to be installed on the machine before the rootkit so that they can compare file changes etc (e.g.: chkrootkit and rkhunter), but what I really need to do is to be able to scan my machine and other machines from a LiveUSB because if the rootkit is...

user136984
Still no one have any idea?

9:40 PM

The Startup Disk Creator can create non-Ubuntu startup disks can't it?

I wish I could think of good questions like @ParanoidPanda does.

user136984
10:12 PM
@Zanna: That is because I am part of the Panda High Command. :P

user136984
Funny, it's meant to be Independence Day in the US today... But not a single person has mentioned it to me all day! Nor have I seen any signs of it! :D

user136984

Q: Problem submitting .crash file using apport

Paranoid PandaI have done this many times before and it has always worked so I don't know what the problem is now, I even had a look at this but still can't get it working. virt-manager had a crash, it created a .crash file in /var/crash, but it wasn't convenient at the time to file a report so I cancelled rep...

user136984
Anyway, goodnight folks! :)
