what is wrong with this? askubuntu.com/questions/64515/…
@Oli and @MarcoCeppi I've flagged all the ones that should be dupes of the Java questions.
anything mentioning the "sun-java-team" or any other PPA with "sun java" is vulnerable to security issues that are actively being exploited.
I didn't downvote

I knew sun's jdk was out of the repos but was thinking it was due to license problem.
don't know but the guy is like a rep machine with a broke security latch.
it is a license problem
they retired the license
so we can't use it
so we can't update partner.
so it's either remove it or leave people vulnerable

bugs have its own place
but Bruno, if you see the question list, the vast majority of them has a bug report title
? they have ?
I have found a css rendering discrepancy in Chromium on ubuntu vs Chrome on windows. Is there a place to report these?? (I know not here, i'm hoping someone may have a link to the proper place)

Q: Wireless not working hp nx6125

TomerI have install Ubuntu 11.10 And the wireless is not work "wireless network disconnected" My computer is - HP Compaq nx6125. What can I do? Thank a lot! :)

jrg
jrg
I think what you're seeing is this:
people say "oh, my wireless isn't working"
or "oh, my synaptics trackpad isn't working"
and so they say that
so you agree they're NOT questions, @jr
jrg
jrg
@luispotro they are questions
not bugs.
(the vast majority of them anyway - that Acrobat one seems very bug like to me, I'm going to do some research on it)
19:14
but shouldn't they be reformatted to a question-style, like "how should I get my wireless back to work?"
jrg
jrg
no.
jrg
jrg
because people don't search for that.
they search things like "Wireless not working on hp nx6125 ubuntu"
@rlemon the option should not technically 'inherit' i don't think (reading css specs and talking to people) however in all other browsers and OS's the select background inherits/fills the option background.
I see @jrg

@luispotro some questions should be bug reports.
and the community closes them as such
but others aren't. in fact, the vast majority aren't.
