I'm working on a script that downloads a file with bar:bar ownership, then changes the ownership to foo:server. So I wrote a side script(chown_test.sh) to implement the changing of the ownership via chown. Once working I'll inject it into the main script, but I've run into a problem (shown below)...

is it possible to clone 3 partitions that are less than 64GB (1boot ,2 home,3 swap) that exist on a large volume (250GB) to a thumb drive that is 64GB?

@KalamalkaKid Yes but it's very ugly to do, and you have to make sure that you actually have that amount of space

64GB thumb drives aren't 64GB usable space

@Seth enough to get literally every thought in their heads out and enough to let Donald Trump kill Keb with his words :p

so if the three partitions are exactly 64GB you can't safely do it

@KalamalkaKid AND, if your intention is to use those three on your USB drive instead of the large volume disk itself, you may run into headaches.
