Q: Periodic filesystem checks are a very good idea. Do modern flagship devices ever do them automatically?

It's a very good idea for your OS to do periodic filesystem checks. Here's why. Microsoft program manager Kiran Bangalore writes that there are certain cases in which a filesystem can become corrupted. If you're using a journaling filesystem such as ext4 or f2fs, such cases are exceedingly rare...

@AbhishekBhatia can a VM get to serial devices then? can you try the screen command as on the wiki link to see it there are random characters in the terminal when you use the device that would rule out it getting through the VM, then we can see if it is a driver issue

Surprisingly, using JPEG sprites really didn't make a lot of difference in filesize compared to the animated GIF.

Though the GIF uses dithering to reduce the colorspace to 32 colors...

@Zacharee1 Animated GIFs are almost always larger than their equivalent representation in other formats. At least in my experience.

GIF is not a good format.

PNG and JPEG are almost always a better choice.

The only reason to use GIF these days are animations.

@AbhishekBhatia Seeing as you need to ask all these questions, just to update a driver that may or may not be updateable, you may want to consider just getting a new card.

I downloaded the compatible driver and tried to reaf from serial port in windows but got nothing.

I am a newbie at this. Do you need to intialize wireless devices from PC/ pair them before they can send us the data?
