Ah, OK, if you're concatenating multiple files, cat is the way to go. As for the difference, not really. The pipe is a pipe and the <() is basically a named pipe. It feeds the input from a /dev/fd device:

And like terdon said , that's a useless use of cat ( which I still think is still convenient , useless, but convenient). When it's a command, for example ls, we can make process substitution "pretend" to be a file : diff <(ls /home/user/folder1) <(ls /home/user/folder2) Because that way <( . . .) creates file descriptors

Q: How do I install driver for the Linksys WUSB6300?

I recently installed Ubuntu´s recent os 14.04 and am unable to install the driver for my wireless adapter which is the Linksys WUSB6300. Is there any way to configure the driver in any way, or should I purchase another one?
