@KalamalkaKid check what ubutweak does to change the login screen. boot to console (recovery mode or whatever) and change it back. just removing the tool won't revert the changes it makes... no answer on the question, because i simply won't parse the ubutweak source for reasons this might fail - but you might want to file a bug

Rkhunter 1.4.2 apparently makes all older version obsolete, so how come the repositories still have the old version in them and you have to download the tarball to install the latest? in profile there is a setting "Exit after command finishes" which you can switch to hold the window. But then you can't use it. With $SHELL, it expands to your login shell, opens that, and holds the window open till you exit the shell

@muru It says version 1.4.2, but that is only because I upgraded it manually after running sudo rkhunter --versioncheck and finding that I was running version 1.4.0, and that version 1.4.2 was available. Also, when I first installed it (before manually upgrading) before any operation it would announce that it was [ Rootkit Hunter version 1.4.0 ].

@Serg Yeah. Also I was thinking that it would be nice to be able to spawn Terminals with profile settings passed from the command line. I can see myself already making Terminals spawn with different color throughout the day

@kos well you could always use echo escape sequences to change the color

echo "\033[1:31" is red i think

echo "\033[1;31m"

and "\033[1;41m" makes background red

there's an option in profile prefernences that deals with what happens after the command finishes
