When packaging this for Debian / Ubuntu, you won't have to worry about this since the dependencies will automatically be determined by the libraries the binary is linked against.

@Fabby that's what i meant. as an index, petrol is usually constantly up, so USD uses it to buoy the currency. exporting currency means the dollar is competitive because you "have" to buy it. see the point?

figure out the absolute path to the script being run a bit # non-obvious, the ${0%/*} pulls the path out of $0, cd's into the # specified directory, then uses $PWD to figure out where that # directory lives - and all this in a subshell, so we don't affect # $PWD
