I'd previously used aufs2 in aufs-tools with some luck, but apparently this package has been "superseded" (this is strange term to use for a package which seems to have been removed only because it no longer compiles, but never mind).

I am downloading The Last Remnant and am going to play it on my Ubuntu >:D Someone at work claims it's IMPOSSIBLE and wanted to bet 2 crates of coca cola :=)
back in my dos days I played Eye of The Beholder and where I had to go trough a door by clicking it it opend and I ran into the next area. Died. And when I came back to the door it refused to open. Had to replay the whole 25 hours of the game to get through it to get to the end.
