@Richard it's not answerable. the msdnaa installers require a legit windows installation. wine won't work. so it's basically a "shakes head... sorry" response much like i have in my comment on that one

Clarifying, the problem isn't Ubuntu compat, even if it is through wine. The problem is MS license checking to say "you bought something from us... okay you're allowed to get an education". Totally not an Ubuntu problem, so not about Ubuntu.

@Rinzwind Those GTK errors shouldn't stop it from launching. They tend to be irrelevant. Have you guys ever seen them cause actual problems?

@NathanOsman the middle space games in wine. Not fully abandonware, but not edge either. Think decent, but not good, hardware. You'ld have a following in 5 seconds or less. Playonlinux doesn't do it really. They're for edgers or abandonware. -- idea 1
