In my last batch of monitors, I bought one and it had a slight fading in a bottom corner (not really an issue but I wanted to have it replaced under warranty in case it got worse). Fedex came out with a new one. I asked them if they wanted to take the old one and they told me to keep it. And that's the story of how I was converted to dual-monitors.

Q: Corrupted file problem

Is there any way to decorrupt a file in Ubuntu 11.04? I think the file might have got encrypted when I shutdown my system but didn't decrypt correctly when I started up. Or, does Ubuntu auto backup anywhere? Anything that might help me restore a lost file could help.
